NYG horrible secondary needs to hold Smith to under 100 yds for a chance to win. I think the Giants play ALOT better at home and I think theyre getting some defensive players back. I think Tiki runs all over Carolina and the Giants win.

Both teams have been a bit inconsistent down the stretch. I think it all comes down to what Carolina defense shows up - the one that let Julius Jones torch them for 194 yards and 2 scores, or the one that held Atlanta's NFL-leading rushing attack to just 26 yards.

I'll be shocked if Carolina can run against the Giants, even with their LB injuries. 2 100 yard rushing games against the Falcons doesn't mean anything. And other than constantly forcing the ball to Smith, Delhomme hasn't had a great year. I don't see him being able to win this game on his own, especially not under pressure from the Giants.Combine that with how well J Jones did against them, I gotta figure Tiki should have a decent game and open up enough for Eli to have a semi-decent game.

Obviously the key for the Panthers will be to stop Tiki and force Eli to try and win the ballgame. For most of the season, the Panthers had an excellent run defense. Whether the Jones game was an anomaly, or something that can be exposed remains to be seen. If anyone can do it though, it is Tiki. I’m a homer and I will pick Carolina, but I think it will be a fairly tight game. I think the running game has come around a bit in the second half of the season for the Panthers, and they will have a pretty decent day offensively.

 The week before Cadillac tore them apart for 150 yds and 2 TDs.

I sure hope the Giants are smart enough to double Steve Smith every place he goes. Getting off the bus, through warm ups and during the game.Outside of Smith there is no one to be worried about on that Carolina offense.

The Panthers and Giants have both been to the Superbowl in the last five years, but the Panthers went a lot more recently, and have more players left over from their last Superbowl appearance. The Panthers won two road playoff games on the way to the Superbowl, including one in Philly, so I'm not worried about the road game. More important, Delhomme is playoff tested, while Manning isn't. I think the Giants are a good team, but I think the Panthers will win.

This Drew Carter kid is showing some speed and talent. The kid doesn't have much experience on the field with the first team, but he looks good, and Delhomme might have found himself another target.

Yet they were still the number 4 defense against the run this year. Obviously if I am New York I would be watching a lot of tape of the Dallas and Tampa games. But this has been a good run defense for most of the season. I will say that they will have their hands full with Tiki, but it is not unreasonable to think that Carolina can contain him.

Carolina, preseason pick to win their division, underachievedGiants, preseason picked to finish third in their division, overachievedCarolina is healthyGiants are getting healthyCarolina is a good road teamGiants are an excellent home teamWeather looking good, near 40 and sunny predicted for Sunday,no factorCarolina will pressure Manning so Giants MUST be able to runIf Pierce is back Giants will control Foster so Jake MUST make playsShould be a close entertaining game, but I see the Giants D or special teams making a difference with a big play or twoGiants-27Carolina-23

Cowboy homer here....I picked the NYG, but rooting for Carolina. The reason for picking the Gints, is the Dallas game showed the Giants how to run against this team. The Cowboys and Big Men have similar teams.I predict 23-20 Big Blue.
