Who's the #1 Fantasy WR this year? (1 Viewer)

Now that we're past the mid way mark...which WR do you think will end up as the top fantasy point getter when all's said and done? (non PPR)

Steve Smith

Fitzgerald

Boldin

Marshall

Owens

Roddy White

Santana Moss

Calvin Johnson

Reggie Wayne

Greg Jennings

Andre Johnson

Am I missing anyone?

Technically speaking, you're missing Eddie Royal in there. In return leagues, he's a great asset. He's ranked #3 in our league and that's despite missing that one game due to his injury.

PPG- probably Boldin

this year overall- probably AJ,Fitz, or Roddy

The guy I want to have the most in dynasty because if he ever gets the support of an above average cast, he will destroy other fantasy teams- definitely Calvin Johnson

I'd say either Roddy White or Eddie Royal.
Really?I have him, and I love the fact that I have him, but I see him a full tier below everyone on this list except maybe Santana Moss.

I am going with Roddy White, but in a very tough race with Steve Smith, Boldin, and AJ. Greg Jennings has a shot too. I guess I just named the whole list.

Give me Roddy.

If Dellehomme has any more games like he did Sunday then you can take Steve Smith off this list.

I think total points it will be between Fitz and A.Johnson although I think losing Schaub for a while will hurt Johnson.

Hard to believe that the all of the following may miss the top 10: R.Moss, TO, Harrison, Edwards, Ocho Cinco, Houshmanzadeh, Holt, Driver, Burress, Colston, Ward.

It seems pretty clear that he won't be this year.. but as long as your making excuses and mitigating circumstances that affect the WRs performance then my vote is still for

Randy Moss. If Brady were healthy he is still the best WR I have ever seen.

It has been a strage year for WRs. There has been a changing of the guard and this has caught me off guard.

So people expect Boldin to keep putting up 1.33 TDs per game going forward? The law of averages says he probably comes back to the pack a bit there, especially with another stud lining up across from him. Honestly I think basically any of the guys nominated could go on a hot streak and finish #1, except I wouldn't put Royal or Santana Moss on my list.

Colston missed too much time to finish #1, but he could be right there going forward.

Agreed. Colston could get on a hot streak.Brees hasn't really been playing like his ushual self however.

Boldin's TD numbers are up slightly this year, but in games where he's played with Warner at QB he has always been $$$.In PPR leagues this year, he is averaging 4.5 PPG more than AJohnson.

Who really cares when he throws the ball 50-60 times a game. Colston will certainly have every opportunity to be the # 1 fantasy wr going forward (assuming he is fully recovered).

It really depends on how you define the #1 rank - is it total points scored or points per game?

Right now (nine weeks) the top 5 in total points and ppg are: (1/10 yards; 6 pt TD and PPR)

1) Andre Johnson............161.4.....20.17 per game

2) Larry Fitzgerald...........153.20...19.15

3) Roddy White...............151.50...18.94

4) Anquan Boldin.............145.20...24.20

5) Santana Moss..............143.90...15.99

At the rate they are going, Boldin could easily end up #1 in points scored as well as PPG

SLIGHTLY??? He is on pace for 22 TD's based on 16 game season.

If we're projecting who the top wr going forward will be, you have to use PPG I think.

:goodposting: The Man is on a Mission this season

Well the fact that Andre Johnson leads all recievers in FF points kinda leaves me to believe that HE is
So because he's tops at Week 10...he'll be after week 16?Btw...im my league (TD heavy) he's 6th so I don't think he's such a no brainer.
ummm....ya...he is tops at week 10 in most standard scoring leagues(td heavy leagues excluded)...talk to me AFTER week 16...who knows by then...but RIGHT NOW hes tops...the numbers dont lie...sorry if you dont like that answer

Our league scoring:Boldin 16.3 PPGWhite 11.3Fitzgerald 10.7Johson 10.3Moss 9.9Boldin is playing ridiculously. Still, I like Boldin-Fitzgerald the rest of the way. Warner will be more reliably churning out TD's the rest of the season.

I own Andre Johnson and Greg Jennings. I wouldn't trade them for anyone right now. Between the top guys... you can never be sure when they will break out anyways. However, AJ is the top scorer in my league, and Jennings was the top scorer before he had just a couple down games. Jennings has a cake walk of a schedule heading out from here.

Tony Gonzalez. :hifive:

For just the remaining WR? Anquan Boldin. He is a TD machine this year and will make up the missed games with Warner leading that passing offense.

I don't know how many of these stats are from Sportsline, but I've noticed the PPG stat they use is not correct for Smith and Marshall - they are not discounting the games they were suspended at the beginning of the season.

And now that I look at it in detail, Sportsline also does not remove the games a player was out injured from the PPG stat. Wow that's pathetic. Looks like they do manage to not count the bye week at least.

Not counting tonight, in 26 games playing with Warner and Fitzgerald, Boldin has averaged:6.96 receptions, 93.1 receiving yards, 0.7 TD per gameFantasy wise, that works out to 13.5 ppg (0 PPR) and 20.5 ppg (1 PPR) not counting his rushing totals at all.So yes, his TD total should start dipping soon, but he is still $$$.

PPG = Total Points/GAMES PLAYED. So their stats are correct.

I've got to go with Fitz. I know he hasn't been as explosive as Boldin, but his consistency is remarkable. In my league (0.5 ppr) he hasn't scored less than 10 points in a game this year. On pace for 100 catches, 1400 and 10 TDs again. Doesn't miss games, and when his teammate does, he's even better. Consistency at this level is just as important as total points.

Watching him and Boldin tonight, I've got to say that Boldin looks like the superior football player. When he's healthy he's a completely different player. I can't remember another WR running the ball up the middle and with such tenacity.

So their stats are wrong. They should NOT count suspended weeks or out due to injury weeks (never played).

If Thigpen continues to play well, Dwayne Bowe could be in contention. Just think he belongs in any thread like this...what he's done with so many different QB's is worth recognizing

I read it differently than it was intended. I read it as they were counting the stats right but not including them in the rankings. I can't tell what their rankings are as I don't use Sportsline.

Without looking up stats, I can't think of any WR I'd be more comfortable starting than Boldin.

He is scary consistent, rarely puts up a dud, and often puts up a scorcher.

I'm by nature a worrier, and I was down by a handful of point with Boldin left to play and I just wasn't that concerned.

I've got Boldin and Marshall and at this point it is not close. It would take a lot more to get Boldin from me than Marshall.
