Who's the most under rated player this year? (1 Viewer)

My vote goes to the 3rd year running back who's on pace for 15 touchdowns and 45-50 receptions while running behind an o-line that's in shambles and an old man who's stealing half the carries from him...

Maurice Jones-Drew. Some would say he's over rated or "never lives up to his adp/potential" but he's #11 in my league and I got him at the end of the 2nd round.

For WR I have to go with Hines Ward... he's like a player no one ever mentions unless it's him hurting someone when he's blocking but he's put up some solid games and is #12 in my PPR. Also, Wes Welker isn't putting up a ton of points but he is the most consistant #2 WR in the league this year. The guy averages about 12 points a game in my PPR and that's about what he scores every week. He's the definition of dependable.

Another older player who people seem to look over is Tony G, who has become the #1 TE in football.

And for QB I have to go with Rivers, the man is #3 in my league and still gets no respect.

Dwayne Bowe. He's the perfect WR2 as he's so consistent. Almost a lock for 10 points every week (ppr). Not too many highs, but not any lows.

Did anyone really expect DeAngelo Williams to be the 10th leading rusher at this point in the season, and the Panthers to be 7-2 (3rd best record overall)?

I didn't.

Owen Daniels is ranked No4 TE in my league and although he is a bit inconsistant he is a must start every week in a year where a good TE is hard to pin dowm

Dwayne Bowe. He's the perfect WR2 as he's so consistent. Almost a lock for 10 points every week (ppr). Not too many highs, but not any lows.
:lmao: :lmao:  the guy is money in the bank.whats worse is that 2009 is his 3rd season, the breakout year for WR's. :excited: he is going to be a very good WR for the next decade..

Forte is the #1 RB in one of my PPR leagues. certainly not treated like a top 5 most of the time...

In IDP leagues that also have return yards - Joshua Cribbs.

- He's being used in both the running and the passing game on offense.

- He's the primary KR and PR.

- He's a special teams stud in the tackle department

Last week vs. DEN:

48 yrds. rushing

140 yrds. returning

4 solo tackles on special teams

QB - Matt Ryan - 5 straight solid weeks (averaging about 250/2 over that stretch), and he has a great remaining schedule

RB - Thomas Jones - Top 10 back in most leagues. Even with the Jets not using him correctly. Expect a big finish after the tough pair coming up (Pats, Titans)

WR - Lots of good calls already (Bowe, Walter, Vjax) - Ill add Matt Jones to the mix - He's had at least 5 catches in 7 of 9 games, and at least 50 yards in 7 of 9 games.

TE - Scaife's a good call. How about Billy Miller? He's the designated guy working the middle of the field for Brees, and he's a streak of 5 straight 50+ yard games now.

IDP (since UH brought it up) -Joey Porter - he's already tied his career high in sacks (11), and he's still got the Raiders, Rams, and 49ers left...

and he's played with bad QBs and no run support. DBowe is a stud.
It's been very impressive that he is productive on a bad team with few other weapons (same with CJ2).However, what I am most impressed with is how Tyler Thigpen has turned it around. In his early appearances he was awful. Ever since the Jets game, something clicked, and the kid from Coastal Carolina has been very competant. Week 9 (@NYJ) 25-36 280 2-0 Week 9 (TAM) 14-25 164 1-0 Week 10 (@SDG) 27-41 266 3-0 Hey, I'm not saying start him just yet, but nice matchup again this week, should see good numbers for the 4th week in a row. I just didn't expect it.

agree with Warner and Gonzo.

Keep waiting for Warner to break down, but perhaps all that is behind him now...really loving his numbers this year.

The same guy who was the most underrated player last year - Eli Manning of the 8-1, defending Super Bowl Champion Giants. He is the motor that makes the Giants run.

Disclaimer: NOT a Giants fan

I think we're talking fantasy here not real life.Thomas Jones is a great one, I actually traded him away in a package which is too bad but I got AD so all is wellLee Evans - Has been very consistant this year except for a down week last week, has become a very good #2WRHines Ward - another good WR#2 that was probably drafter as a WR3 in a lot of cases

Dwayne Bowe. He's the perfect WR2 as he's so consistent. Almost a lock for 10 points every week (ppr). Not too many highs, but not any lows.
 :bag: :goodposting: the guy is money in the bank.whats worse is that 2009 is his 3rd season, the breakout year for WR's. :excited: he is going to be a very good WR for the next decade..
It's funny how Bowe gets this kind of treatment and Calvin gets treated like a red headed step child around here. The turmoil surrounding Calvin's offense is unreal and he still produces better numbers than Bowe. Calvin's third season is 2009 also. There are a lot of posters who are high on Calvin, but there are just as many who are down on him every week.

This guy isn't as flashy as some of the guys being posted here, but he's always come through for me when I've needed him to cover for an injured RB or one on bye.

#27 RB - 6, 6, 10, B, 5, 10, 6, 8, 14, 8

One of my favorite late round RB grabs: Derrick Ward.

Considering FBGs still has him ranked as the 120th WR, Mark Bradley seems to warrant more respect.

Camarillo needs a mention for PPR leagues.

-In IDP, PPR with return yardage leauges Leon Washignton has been useable.

-D. Mason he has been nice value the last 2 years

-C. Pennington, if you would have told me he would have been a low end QB 1 or good QB 2 at the start of the year I would never have believed it.

-K. Orton and he makes the Bears a good team

First guy I thought of was Matt Jones. I thought he could have been a cut in the offseason, now he's the Jags undisputed WR1. Simply an incredible turn around for him.

Kurt Warner is far from under rated.

When I say under rated I mean guys that even AFTER putting up a solid 10 weeks people STILL seem to look over. I've been reading a lot about Warners production and of course tons of MVP talk.

I'm going with Wes Welker. I thought this guy would be nothing when Brady went down and he is a stud in my PPR league.

Some good choices here. DeAngelo came to mind immediately as did Owen Daniels. Kevin Walters has been a nice surprise.

For me though it was Zach Diles (until he got hurt) and LeRoy Hill. Big time tacklers with no name recognition.

QB- David Garrard, tough start quietly back into the top 10 in my league

Rb- Forte, as someone said, is leading my PPR league

WR- Housh - still top 10 PPR

TE- Scaife and Shiancoe, who surprisingly is top 10 in my league

Donovan McNabb is having a great season despite getting a pretty bad rap for most of this year. Every league scores different, but in mine McNabb is 6th at QB and 1 point behind Manning for 5th.

No Lance Moore love?
 The fact that it took this many posts for his man to pop up tells you how under rated he is. Moore barely gets love in the under rated thread, but he is having a great year.
Agree with Lance Moore along with Breaston. Two injury fill-in's who haven't missed a beat. I came to throw Walter's name in the ring but, as I expected - he was mentioned several times. I think the reason Moore is being overlooked is because everyone's leery of how he closes out the season once Colston and Bush get healthy. The two will really put the squeeze on Moore's targets moving forward IMO. Moore's been awesome, but when we look back on the season it might be, oh about...now that dude hit his high-water mark for the year.

I can't believe that no one has mentioned Roddy White. In my PPR league he is basically tied for the lead, as there are several WRs who are within a few points of each other (Boldin, Fitz, White, and Andre Johnson). Considering what people expected out of the Falcons this year, especially from a rookie QB, I think he's got to be near the top of the "draft steals" list this year.

Suprised he was so down on this thread also. Grabbed him in two leagues and that was after he has his 1st big week. Went with WRs early in the draft so he was not a big need, but his numbers was to hard to look away from.

Thomas Jones has got to be making some FF teams winners singlehandedly based on draft position, especially afer this week.

 This is the first person I thought of. Someone in my league dropped him in week three and I picked him up. He's keeping me in the running.

Moore love from me :goodposting: Picked him off up the WW in a deep 16 team league and has often outscored my #1 WR, Steve Smith.

I think most recognize White as a Top 5-10 WR at this point, despite the lower expectations starting the season.I'd go wtih Thomas Jones.
