Who's the odd man out in Minny... (1 Viewer)

I've seen a few mocks (including Don Banks' of CNNSI.com) having White going to the Vikings, IF he slips that far. If he were to be drafted by the Vikings, who is the odd man out? I haven't seen much talk about Bennett or O Smith being traded/released. Am I missing something? Surely they don't keep 3 RBs that could each start, do they?!

Bennett will not be back. He will be cut/released.No word on Smith.

Bennett's injury history has always been a concern. But the troubles with O Smith, and being one more failed drug test away from a year suspension, is a big concern...

I'd get rid of Bennett and O and not look back

2 headaches(injuries and whiz) I wouldn't want anymore. Start anew with the new staff. If Daunte is outta there well then just go 100% and start anew, don't dip your toe in the water, axe all the headaches

As Andy said, Bennett has been released.O.Smith is not a failed drug test from a year suspension, he is a failed drug test from a "lifetime" suspension. (I put lifetime in quotes because I know they have been lifted before.) They can't trust him.

I thought it was 4-game suspension, year suspension, life ban? He served the 4 gamer last season. So wouldn't the year suspension be next?

Wow, I must've missed that one... guess that answers THAT question...
From the Blogger . . .
RB Michael Bennett said Monday his tenure with the Vikings is over. "They told my agent they're going in another direction, so I won't be coming back," Bennett said in a phone interview. Bennett said he has been working out diligently, "just in case I need to go audition somewhere." His preferences are Green Bay, which is closer to his hometown of Milwaukee, and Arizona, which is coached by Dennis Green, who drafted Bennett for the Vikings.

Are we even sure the NFL is allowing O to come back? I think the commissioner has the power to prevent him from returning after the one year suspension. Has a decision been made on that?

Hey he may be onto something. :D
David let me down, I thought as a FBG he'd have some influence over BB.oh well :nerd:

IF he slips that far.
Is this really even an "if"? He's the consensus #4 RB, and I don't know if four RBs have ever been drafted in the top 17....especially nowadays when the RB market is so saturated.

Personally, I think White goes earlier than many think. Early teens...?

that is what I thought. But, you (in responding to his post) said White would be 4th. That cannot be accurate.

who are the three RBs ahead of him?

IF he slips that far.

Reggie Bush, DeAngelo Williams, Lendale White. Did that really need to be asked?
