So they will be able to shutdown the third worst YPR team in the NFL? Impressive.

Kurt Warner didn't seem to have a problem with the Jax defense late in the season AND Brady has a run game. This one shouldn't even be close. Pat's should win this by at least 2 touchdowns.Mud out

Don't bite fellow Pats fans.
plus out of 183 playoff games...no #3 or #4 seed evah won 3 road games and made it to the superbowl.....

Everyone needs to realize that the Patriots can never fail. They should be worshipped and their asses need to be kissed. And you cant ever remember that they were crappy---the worst franchise in the league for several years. Heck MNF wouldnt even go to Foxborough for a game because of the fans. You have to forget that though and know that the Patriots, and the Red Sox for that matter, are Gods gift to pro sports, and if you say otherwise, then your wrong.

One team did it...’85 Patriots wild card run

New England wins three on the road to earn berth in Super Bowl XX

The road to Super Bowl XX for the 1985 New England Patriots was well traveled. After posting an 11-5 regular season record that included winning nine of their final 11 games, the Patriots qualified for the playoffs as a wildcard team. Over the next month, the team fought incredible odds as they won three consecutive playoff games, all on the road!

Winning the Super Bowl is quite a different thing though! :X

Here is a list of wild card teams to make it:

2000 – Baltimore Ravens*

1999 – Tennessee Titans

1997 – Denver Broncos*

1992 – Buffalo Bills

1985 – New England Patriots

1980 – Oakland Raiders*

1975 – Dallas Cowboys

* won super bowl

Actually, the 1985 Patriots (of all teams) DID the 3 road game thing for the first time, beating the Jets, Raiders and Dolphins on the way to the SuperBowl. The 85 Pats were 11-5 and the seedings broke this way:N.Y. Jets were first Wild Card based on better conference record (9-3) than New England (8-4) and Denver (8-4). New England was second Wild Card ahead of Denver based on better record against common opponents (4-2 to Broncos' 3-3). Cincinnati finished ahead of Pittsburgh based on head-to-head sweep (2-0). Seattle finished ahead of San Diego based on head-to-head sweep (2-0). Dallas finished ahead of N.Y. Giants and Washington based on better head-to-head record (4-0 to Giants' 1-3 and Redskins' 1-3). N.Y. Giants were first Wild Card based on better conference record (8-4) than San Francisco (7-5) and Washington (6-6). San Francisco was second Wild Card based on head-to-head victory over Washington (1-0). Minnesota finished ahead of Detroit based on better division record (3-5 to Lions' 2-6).

Wild-Card playoff: New England 26, N.Y. JETS 14

Divisional playoffs: MIAMI 24, Cleveland 21; New England 27, L.A. RAIDERS 20

AFC Championship: New England 31, MIAMI 14

Wild-Card playoff: N.Y. GIANTS 17, San Francisco 3

Divisional playoffs: L.A. RAMS 20, Dallas 0; CHICAGO 21, N.Y. Giants 0

NFC Championship: CHICAGO 24, L.A. Rams 0

Super Bowl XX: Chicago (NFC) 46, New England (AFC) 10, at Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana

or something like that...

I believe I read that Mike Peterson left last week's game with a cast on his arm. Seems like that could be huge for them if he can't play. Peterson was huge for them this season.Leftwich is said to be starting barring any setbacks during the week, but Garrard's been OK for them, I think.

The only ones talking about how tough the Pat will be in the playoffs is members of the press, because they need something to hype. Anyone who's watched the games this season knows they have flashes of solid play but they've been inconsistent. The D play has improved in the second half of the season (thank you, Ellis Hobbs).

I think Jax has been underrated, but the above mentioned D injuries are a concern.

One championship in 86 years >>>>> 26 Yankee championshipsYou don't believe it? Just ask a SAWX fan!

Did you know that Jacksonville has never won a championship, but the Patriots have won 3 of the last 4 Super Bowls? They likely would have won four if it wasn't for Tara Reid distracting Tom Brady in '02 (and we Bucs fans thank her very much!)It's not so much love as it is respect. Perhaps the Jaguars are an overlooked 12-4 team, but it's because so much is on the Colts/Pats/Steelers. Not everyone can be in the spotlight, and those 3 teams just happen to make for better stories.

The Jaguars are like the Anaheim Angels of Los Angeles that currently reside in South Central California (or whatever they go by now).... they are a solid unit, but most people couldn't name 5 players on the team.

No offense, but this could be the stupidest thing ever written on this forum. I don't think the most blind Pats homer would make a statement like this. And it also bears repeating: Brady is good. Damn good. But he's not the whole f'n team!
