Why don't the networks show who scores +/- stats on the tickers? (1 Viewer)

Last year you would always get updates on who scored, this year neither network does that...in addition i didn't even see the 4pm games on the ticker durign the Jets/Pats games...just the 1pm scores...why is this different this year?

Good question.

I think networks are sometimes afraid of losing viewers if they think another game is more interesting???

At one point yesterday, they weren't even showing afternoon scores during the NY/NE game. Last year, CBS (I think) used to show in games stats as well. :(

The worst part about is that Fox still plays their little "hey look at the scores" audio clip... then shows nothing but baseball scores.

I remember the 'ten minute ticker' audio clip as a kid. I actually keep up w/ my fantasy stats @ myfantasyleague, and keep windows up fron NFL.com, so the networks are a pain.

NFL snap was also a plus, and maybe that's why? Maybe the NFL prohibits it, or limits it, because they're doing it now? Just a guess. But, now that Time Warner, inserte expletive of choice here, has taken the NFL Network from me and my brethren, I have to use the net exclusively. Their loss. Time Warner will lose subscribers. I have no choice, because I need the high speed connection, and local channels, and they're the only option.

I'm so happy when they don't show them. There's enough crap on the screen since all the networks have an oversized score bar that takes up 10% of the screen. I wish everyone just used the CBS box that's tiny in the corner of the screen.

:ptts: get a bigger TV

I've noticed this trend, too. Seems like there's also less game-breaks to show what's going on, too. Last week, Fox broke in 3 times during the whole 1pm game. Once to show the hit on Trent Green, once to show the Brady fumble and once to show TO warming up for the 4pm game
