Kansas City Chiefs RB Larry Johnson will miss the team's week 8 game against the Tennessee Titans for violating team rules. HC Herm Edwards refused to specify what team rules were broken, but said his decision had nothing to do with the simple assault charge filed against Johnson this week. "Any time you're missing a good player ... I think it always hurts you," Edwards said. "But you see other players elevate their game, too."

Apparently LJ will be suspended again for week 8. I believe the article incorrectly stated the Titans again instead of the Jets though.

EDIT: You're right, the article is clearly for week 7. Hmmm, I don't know.

Coach Herm Edwards said Monday that he hadn’t determined whether Johnson would play in Sunday’s game against the Jets at the Meadowlands.Edwards held Johnson out of Sunday’s 34-10 loss to Tennessee at Arrowhead Stadium because Johnson was late for meetings and other team obligations. Edwards said last week the benching would be for only one game.Edwards wouldn’t elaborate on his reasons for possibly benching Johnson against the Jets. But in the last week, two different allegations of assault against Johnson have surfaced.

so at this point it's speculation whether he will play or not.
