Because then the city hosting it will lose a day of hotel bookings, spending for local vendors, etc.I never understood why the super bowl wouldn't be on Saturday. They have a week off before the game so they have plenty of rest time. I think it would bring in more casual fans cause more people would have parties.Anyone heard of a reason why the NFL sticks to Sunday?

Personally, ever since they moved the SB to February, I've been glad they kept it on a Sunday. My wedding anniversary is on FEB 2 and if the SB ever fell on a Saturday I'd have to miss it. This way, the SB can fall on my anniverary on a Sunday, but it doesn't matter since I'd be celebrating on a Saturday night (the night before) anyway.
I don't see why you'd have to miss it. Just postpone it by a week instead. Your wife should understand. My wedding anniversary is on FEB 2 and if the SB ever fell on a Saturday I'd have to miss it.
Yeah, like the traditional one hour half time Super Bowl lip synch extravaganza, this year with family friendly Prince!
