does anyone know why there is not a Sunday night game this week? is this a flex scheduling issue?

my guide is reading one of the Bourne movies playing sunday night??? why?

EDIT: nvm, just found out it was due to the world series....why? so is the nfl better off airing nothing instead of conceding the night to mlb?

LOL. This gets asked every year around World Series time...

Baseball >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Football
Oh...Oh no you didn't. No you didn't just say that on a football website.
Yes I did... Baseball IMO is much better than football...
You might think I am fishing, but I am most certainly not...
Football >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BaseballThen I win because I had more >s. Suck on that. :lmao:

You can add as many ">" signs as you want, it will still make your current statement false...

Not as false as your last statement. Ooooo, zing!

Baseball? WE DON'T NEED ANY STINKING BASEBALL!!!

Besides. NE is already going to win a Superbowl. who wants to witness the greedy bastards win a world series too! :goodposting:

The odd thing is that there is also a World Series game on Monday for the first time (unless one team sweeps), but there's still a Monday Night Football game.

Although kickoff was moved up to 8:05 in order to entice people to stick with the football game, or at least to flip back regularly once the baseball game starts.

I am in agreement with you, however, our ADD stricken society has lost all appreciation for games of anticipation, ie baseball, soccer.

The WS has, in recent years, been scheduled to start Sat-Sun, Mon off, Tues-Thurs, Fri off, Sat-Sun. The rigid structure forced the fall classic into November a handful of times so they moved it up.

yep baseball is awesome, i live near St. Louis and tickets are given away for free to try to get people in seats. 'Free' tickets to see a team in a baseball town that won a world series just a few years ago with a brand new friggin stadium. yet i don't take on that offer

i will tho gladly overpay to get a nosebleed seat(which means walking up 400umpteen levels) to watch a horrid rams team(with binoculars) and park 3miles away in a sketchy waterfront area of town rather than takeup the free offer to go to a new stadium to watch the cardinals play baseball.

I'd much rather watch an NFL game on TV.

i would too but when u go with a group of guys, hit the tailgates before and after the games and a few of the bars it makes for a great sunday. most of the time i prefer to watch games from my living room tho

I'd rather watch any sporting even on TV than brave the crowds in person. That being said, any game that takes 162 games just to determine who makes the playoffs is beyond boring.
