The bold, I have experienced many times over without being pro-choice.  I've never been mistaken as a Trumper etc.  I think my positions on him are clear, and yet ANOTHER reason I'm just lumped in as a "leftist" or "liberal" or whatever new term they want to use.  

From the left, I was labeled "anti-healthcare" because I relentlessly mocked the ineptitude of our government technology guys for their inability to get healthcare.gov up and running and I also did not (and still don't) agree with the "Obamacare" approach.  Yet, oddly enough, on that same topic, my approach was labeled as "bleeding heart" by the right

It's gotten significantly worse as I typically tend to be a "rule of law" guy and agreed a lot with "conservatives" on a lot of that.  Since they've pretty much abandoned that as a concept, I can easily see why they see me the way they do.

Oh lord I'm on a board that makes the MAGA guys on this board look like choir boys.  And the truth is MAGA guys are typically very civil here.  And I'm not calling you a MAGA guy, I find you reasonable even if we disagree a lot.

I’ve seen both on the same boards so I can relate.  The worst is when someone dies and both sides want that gotcha moment when it comes to the vax causing it or not.

In Portland there's been hefty budget cuts, and lots of police officers leaving because of poor morale, and lack of support from city officials.  2021 was a record for homicides in Portland.

My wife and I stayed in Portland for several days last summer.  Went all over the city on public transportation visiting various brew pubs.  I didnt necessarily feel unsafe at any time, but I noticed the lack of police patrol cars.  I think I saw two over four days of going all over the city.

It's not a place I'm looking to rush back to, especially with my kids.  There are plenty of other places less murdery in OR.
