Will Seattle's 4 WR set be too much for the Bears (1 Viewer)

We all know that the Bears like to vary their coverages to bring pressure from different places.

Most likely we are going to see alot of 4 WR sets from the Seahawks today (playing to their strengths).

This is going to force the Bears into deciding to either A) try to match up - allowing the Seahawks to dictate personel packages or B) risk leaving mismatches on the field in an effort to confuse and create pressure by maintaining the integrity of the defense.

So here is the question - who wins? Hasselbeck and the WRs? The pressure defense?

On a quick side note: Personally, unlike most people, I don't think the players are as important to the Bears Defense as is the system, much like Tampa Bay. Therefore, maintaining the integrity (or structure) of the defense IMO becomes key to being able to perform effective "feints" later in the game to create turnovers.

So I think the Bears roll the dice. But who wins?

I heard a radio interview with Gil Brandt and he basically said this was not a good matchup for the Bears because of the 4 WR sets. He also mentioned that Holmgren averages over 27 pts a game on the Bears.

Gil Brandt= Beano Cook

This game all comes down to the pressure the Bears can get on Hasselbeck. If Hasselbeck has time the Seahawks will move the ball against Chicago or anyone else. Plus with Morris in the draw comes into play so if they have success in pass protection then Morris will be getting opportunities to run and with his speed and quickness he actually matches up well vs. a very fast D. But if the Chicago front seven gets penetration it will be a long night and a low scoring game. I'm looking forward to this one.

Just like Brandt to mention a stat that has no bearing now, seeing as how that average was generated by those good Packers' teams in the 90's against their miserable Bear counterparts.

I'm pretty sure that if it were that easy to beat the Bears vaunted defense, you'd see nothing but 4-Wides.

I expect the Seahawks to be able to move the ball, but to expect a collapse from the Bears' D is a little silly.

This is a very interesting matchup but I'm not sure there are too many teams that can trot out four WR's of the quality of DJax, Branch, Burleson and Engram. Maybe there are but I can't think of too many that go this deep in quality.

I was all set to bench DJax and start Glenn, but suddenly I have this feeling that Hasselbeck might rely on DJax with Alexander out. I could see a 10 catch day, which is gold in PPR.
