The Special Teams has been a huge disappointment. Norv has been sticking by his coaches. But with poor play again this past weekend against Houston, AJ might make some changes. . . I hope.

I don't know. Are they really really bad? What exactly? I don't think I've ever seen a "fire the ST coach" thread here. It's kind of interesting.

They have had the same coach for what 11 years now? SD has always had decent ST till this year, not sure they can blamce the coach. They lost their long snapper from the last 9 years and apparently lack talent deep in the roster. Guys can't count which guy to block apparently. Not sure I hang this one ALL on the coach

5 punts blocked4 kickoff/punt return TDs allowed, plus many other long returnsMissed 3 of 14 FGsFootball Outsiders has their special teams weighted DVOA at -16.2%, easily the worst in the league. For perspective, the Giants are the next worst at -7.1%.Arguably their special teams play has cost them at least 3 losses (Chiefs, Raiders, Seahawks).Yes, they have been really really bad.

"Should they?" is an interesting question.

"Will they?" is an easy one. They will not.
