I now have the NFL Network and have the option of watching that instead of ESPN for the draft. I have always watched ESPN. Which are you going to watch and why?

Even though Chris Berman's shtick gets a bit obnoxious, ESPN.

Won't take long before he goes into the re-naming of players, like Brady "The Mighty" Quinn or Leron "Don't Call me Tom" Landry. :excited:

I won't be able to put up with idiot Berman for more than about a half-hour. I love Kiper, but the supporting cast drives me up a wall. I'm sure I'll spend more time on NFLN.

ESPN....gotta stick to my roots. I'll probably check out NFLN too though.

Does anyone know if NFLN will be in HD? I'm not sure DirecTv could even run HD through channel 212 but if ESPN is in HD and NFLN is not that will just make it that much easier.

Can't do the draft without staring at Mel Kiper's hair for sixteen hours. I still believe to this day that Mel is the ******* son of Elvis Presley.

I will watch ESPN and Tivo the NFL Network. It will be interesting to compare the coverage. I can't wait!!

ESPN... unless they start naming the pick before the commish does at the podium.... then Ill switch to NFL Network.
This is exactly why I will watch the NFLN. I don't want to waste 14 minutes and 58 seconds each pick to have Berman announce it 2 seconds before the commissioner does. What value does he honestly think he's providing by doing this?

Which ever station has the fewest player interviews. What a waste of freaking time, much rather hear the talking heads analize and speculate.

Does that mean the same thing as analyze, or do you want them to do something they aren't allowed to on family television?

Neither since ESPN here in Australia arent showing it at all. Well, every yr we get some week delayed 30minute show that shows around the first 15 picks, pathetic!

Is there any place on the net I can listen/watch live?

I will switch back and fort to avoid the idiodic player interviews.

I want to hear someone review picks and predict upcoming picks. I am sure the families are proud to see their loved ones interviewed on TV but it carries no appeal to me.

This is the first year I can watch the NFLN, as I have never had it in previous years, so I will probably switch back and forth just to see how they compare. I really do like Kiper, so that is really the only reason to watch ESPN.

http://nfldraftguys.com/blog/I believe ESPN Radio will broadcast the draft online.

The Ticket in Dallas usually broadcasts the draft online as well.

Sorry, I couldn't get the URL link to work.
Cheers man I appreciate it.

NFL Network draft coverage is going to be on Direct TV channel 212? I just checked and for some reason that channel is no longer available for me... says I have to subscribe to it

On top of that, my 36 inch TV went out last night and now I have to use a 20 inch.

Today isn't starting out very well :hot:

If I had NFLN in HD there's not a chance I'd even put on the ESPN coverage, however watching their coverage on total access right now, the picture is terrible. ESPN it is with NFLN in PIP.

I'll be switching back and forth.

My reasons:

1. It's my first year with NFLN so I want to see how they do with it.

2. For my cable package, I have ESPN-HD but do *not* have NFLN-HD (it's not offered in HD). Not surprisingly, I like the HD look better.

3. The ticker (the crawl at the bottom of the screen) is cut off when I'm on the NFLN.

Does anyone know if you have to have a basic DTV package to get the Sunday Ticket? I never had to have that before, now they are telling me that's why I don't have it.

I think Sopcast is our only hope now that TVUplayer no longer shows ESPN. I'm not sure if the ESPN on Sopcast will be showing the draft, but it's pretty much the only option unless you'd prefer to watch the Italian soccer on ESPN International. :D p.s. I assume you have cable internet otherwise forget about it.

Well ill have to check it back and forth since the World Cup final is on tonight, 30mins approximately.

I'm going to start with NFLN in the hopes that the analysts pay more attention to the draft than pimping themselves.

NFL radio on sirius. That way I don't have to look at any of these fools and I can listen to the draft and stay attuned to FBG's at the same time! :) :banned:

NFL Network just had on their crawler that 4 of the Texans last 9 first round picks are still on their roster.

That's some quality info right there. :own3d:
