Willie Parker - Questionable - Late Game (1 Viewer)

I would love to start MeMo this week but need the confirmation FWP is out.

I think they rest FWP this week - they can win without him and MeMo has been an excellent sub

ESPN's John Clayton reports that Willie Parker (knee) should be able to play after making it through Thursday's and Friday's practices with no problems. Clayton expects Parker to be "very active today," though the matchup (at New England) says he's more of a No. 2/flex choice than a definite fantasy start. (11:02 a.m. ET)

Starting the week as questionable FWP practiced fully Thur & Fri but was never upgraded to probable. Does not look good for FWP owners.
Can you clarify, 2nd sentence didn't follow first well for me.
Typically, if you start the week at "questionable", and then make it through two practices and look good doing so, you'll get upgraded to "probable". Since Parker was never upgraded, then perhaps his two practice sessions didn't go as well as hoped, or swelling remained in the knee, or whatever. The coaches never saw enough to upgrade him, in spite of two practices.Does that really mean anything? Who the hell knows.

Sounded clear to me. Parker practiced full Thur and Fri, but remained Questionable after doing so, which isn't always a good sign when they aren't upgraded. The Steelers were probably waiting to see how his knee did yesterday after all the practicing, and it didn't swell, so he is going to play today according to Clayton.

Thanks(Brant too)I guess I was expecting that it be positive that he did make it thru 2 practices

Needs something more solid than the Clayton speculation.

I'm wondering if this is exactly what Tomlin wants Belichick to believe.

I would not be surprised if the Steelers are playing Patriot games on the injury report.
This raises a good question -- how comfortable do fellow sharks feel, based on the two full practices and the Clayton report, that Parker will actually start and be "very active"?

I'm not a Shark, however I did stay in a Holiday Inn in Pittsburgh & I think Willie get's a lot of work. Tomlin doesn't usually play games with the injury report. First week of Willie's injury he ruled him out on a Tuesday.

"fellow sharks"? how about some dudes posting with fake names in a fantasy football forum instead. Ok then...I'm not comfortable at all with Parker. He cost me big time last week and I'm actually goingto roll with (gasp) LJ this week since I know that game should be close and he'll get the bulkof the carries.I also have Mewelde Moore but I would only start him if I knew that Parker was out.

i dont know.....it`s way to risky...he could have 5 runs on what appears to be a sloppy field by game time and then ...''hey ,wheres parker?''...momo is out there the rest of the game...no thanks :lmao:

Based on past situations, if you can afford to wait until 4PM to decide, whether or not Parker is active will tell the tale. If he is active, he will get his usual bulk of the workload, assuming he stays healthy throughout the game. The Steelers will not activate Parker if he isn't able to carry the load as the starter.

Willie Parker-RB- Steelers Nov. 30 - 3:09 pm et

Fast Willie Parker is active and against New England Sunday.

The Steelers' inactives are third QB Dennis Dixon, CB Bryant McFadden, CB Fernando Bryant, RB Najeh Davenport, OLB Bruce Davis, OT Tony Hills, OT Marvel Smith, and DE Brett Keisel. Parker practiced fully on both Thursday and Friday and is a respectable RB2 play in this matchup.
