Well guys, we've heard it said that he'll get "30 carries" from the coach. Whether that's true or not, or whether Mendenhall and Moore get a good share remains to be seen.

With that said, what would you think is a reasonable stat line for FWP this evening?

quite a few people (including reputable ones) are on the Parker train this past week after all the news came out regarding carry distribution, etc... most thought he is healthy and motivated. He better look better as this goes on...

 
Looks like my projection is going to be the closest of them all, and I was honestly trying to be generous. The one team I do have Parker on, he's comfortably on the bench. You guys have some awfully high expectations for someone going up against the reputable Titans defense, not to mention Parker is coming off of an injury.

 
This Steelers oline really sucks, you have to be EXCEPTIONAL to be able to run behind these losers and Willie P is not exceptional.

Subbed in SWP for Holmes shortly before gametime. Hey, some of the experts did fancy his chances in this game since he does well in openers, and probably in part to underestimating the Titans run d.I didn't think the Steelers line was that bad in run blocking as they are with the pass.
 
hahah...let the excuses pour in. Theres a reason they drafted Mendenhall last year. Theres a reason Willies ypc has dropped every year. Theres a reason he's not a good short yardage back or receiver. At one point in time Willie had damn near Chris Johnson speed..now he looks old and slow.

He should just retire tomorrow, or preferably right after the game.
 
I'm more concerned about the Steelers' o-line performance than I am about Parker. He doesn't look good but I attribute that more to the dominance of Ten D-line than Parker's ability. Not sure too many backs would have numbers that much better in the same situation tonight.

glad someone else is watching the game...if amything fwp may be more of a situational start based on matchup.
 
Why? The Steelers running game is going to be trash this year. I'm not sure any of their RBs will be worth owning.

 
IMO, Parker did not look like the same back he was a few years ago. He lacks the burst and the wiggle. It wasn't just that the Steelers didn't run block well: they didn't. But even when he had a decent hole I didn't see much from Parkers. Moore may be the HB to own on the Steelers.

 
I predict 1 fantasy point for FWP.

The Steelers as a team had 23 carries for 36 yards.

Now that's bad.

 
glad i avoided FWP and Mendenhall in all 9 leagues this year. they both looked downright awful.

it may be the case that the steelers will be ineffective running the ball all year - for example check out the multiple 3rd-and-1 failures.

i expect them to use a shotgun spread formation with Memo in short yardage... they're better off dumping to him in the flat than running it up the middle.

FWP - 13 for 19 yards, 1 reception 5 yards

Mendenhall - 4 for 6

Memo - 5 for 8 yards, 4 receptions for 38 yards

TEAM - 23 rushes, 36 yards, 1.6ypc

All I can say is that I hope All Day makes up for the goose egg Parker got me. Damn. Shoulda started Fred Jackson, I guess. Parker is on my bench permanently until I see a sign of life.

 
May be overreacting but I'm giving serious consideration to dropping FWP. He has ZERO burst, a couple times the cut back was there but he went to the well and came up empty.

 
You guys overract too much. Obviously the TEN D is still pretty good despite losing Haynesworth. Not many backs sans Peterson would have done anything versus that TEN D tonight.

 
Oline was horrid, all gaps were filled almost every play.

Parker did look slow though....very slow. I will give him a free pass on this one...but if he looks like this next week...he may be done.

Mendy stinks too. I don't see it in him.
