Post News Here...

He's practiced this week, and it seems like he's ready to go. Anybody desperate like I am (only have Fargs or Benson to plug in for McGahee) that will start him this weekend?

From what I read he might play but not start will share carries..but remember Bills play against the JAGS! :bye:
Just to add:The Jaguars are 6th in the NFL averaging 95.8 rushing yards allowed per game, with 5 rushing scores surrendered over 10 games. Even the Giants' great tandem of Tiki Barber and Brandon Jacobs were stymied, posting 14/25/0 vs. the Jags. The Jags forced so many 3-and-outs on the Giants that they held the ball for a staggering 40:19 last week - now that's defense! This is a very tough matchup for Thomas and the Bills.

I have no news on the status of McGahee... but I agree with the previous poster that if McGahee is splitting carries with Thomas, neither is a great play considering they are facing JAX.

RB McGahee Practices For Third Straight Day

Chris Brown, BuffaloBills.com - [Full Article]

Buffalo Bills RB Willis McGahee was able to full practice on Friday, his third straight day, in his return from broken ribs. HC **** Jauron is hopeful he'll be able to play Sunday. "He's been in every drill and taken part in all of them," said Jauron. "So I'm fairly optimistic. He's less sore on a daily basis. We'll just leave him as a game time decision." McGahee is scheduled for another MRI Friday afternoon. "My understanding is they'll take another picture of it to stay on top of it as we move forward," said Jauron.

Just remember what happened with LT last year when he had rib problems. His production dropped dramatically. I wouldn't rely on McGahee when he comes back. He wasn't very productive before the injury. He was only averaging 12 points per game in my league which is terrible for his expected output.

he pretty much sucked most weeks anyways. the last 2 yrs i have had this bum and expected decent rb2 pts out of him. both yrs, i have been terribly disappointed. even though matchup is bad, i'm starting dillon over him this week. probably the rest of the yr. too, even if willis is healthy.

What's expected? He's a better RB than A-Train, and if you take A-Train's production over the past 3 games and add it to McGahee's, you have a guy who's right around RB15. And that's on a team without much talent on the OL and with Losman struggling mightily for most of the year. He's the type of guy I can see making a dramatic jump up the rankings like Kevin Jones did this year if the offense around him improves.I think he'll be active, but I wouldn't expect him to get anything more than half the carries. Most importantly, this bodes well for him being 100% against the Jets in week 14, a team he's torn apart in recent years.

It looked Friday like Bills running back Willis McGahee will be back on the field to face the Jaguars.

McGahee practiced fully for a third straight day.

"He's been in every drill so I'm fairly optimistic," said coach **** Jauron. "He's I guess less sore on a daily basis."

McGahee remains questionable and a final decision will be made on his availability during pregame warm-ups.

McGahee broke three ribs in the game against Green Bay and missed the past two games. The ribs are not completely healed, and he has been wearing a flak jacket during practice. If McGahee does play, it's likely he will be spelled by backup running back Anthony Thomas.

' date='Nov 26 2006, 03:24 PM' post='5963081']The guy has broken ribs and he's freaking DIVING into the endzone!
Either he's a stud, or an idiot. Wilcotts reported that it was 2 back ribs that were broken.

Add me to the list of people who did the "wait and see" on Willis. The dude has done practically nothing all year when healthy and lights up a damn good D coming off a painful rib injury. This is one crazy game.
