Wilson & Lawrence for Sutton & Darnold? (1 Viewer)

Should I make this trade? It's a start 2 QB league. My current starting QBs are Burrow and Murray. Here's the trade:

I get Garrett Wilson and Trevor Lawrence

I give Courtland Sutton, Sam Darnold and Justice Hill

Should I make this trade? Thoughts?

I love Wilson and expect much more this year but I don’t get it. You are basically trading Sutton, Darnold and Hill for Wilson. Why would you do that? More context is needed to give insight on why this makes sense to you.

I might do it because of Wilson's upside. And I'm trading 3 bench players for a starter in return. I'd be getting a first round pick (Garrett Wilson) for 3 waiver wire picks.

I think Hill is a solid back up/flex but I could understand trying to sell him after a big game. I think its a decent idea.

So you think the trade makes sense for me? My main concern is the downgrade from Darnold to Lawrence as my 3rd QB (reminder I'm in a start 2 QB league).

you are correct that Darnold-Lawrence is a downgrade. It all depends on how confident you are that Burrow and Murray will stay healthy and not struggle this year. I assume that this is you trying to trade up for Wilson as opposed to the Wilson owner offering him for those 3 right? Trades are hard (sometimes) and when one tries to trade up you are going to have to offer something of value.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. I ended up making a smaller trade last night where I still upgraded my WRs, but was able to keep Sam Darnold. I traded away Justice Hill and Courtland Sutton, and I received Jaylen Waddle. With the news of Tua returning week 8, I feel like I bought low on Waddle, for a big second half of the season.

Yes, the only thing holding me back was I really didn't want to part with Darnold. I don't trust Burrow and Murray to stay healthy all season long. And Trevor Lawrence looks like a mess.
