I searched the forum and saw a few misc. threads about the dells. We are taking our daughters for three days. We are staying at the Glacier Canyon Lodge at the Wilderness. Other than knuckleheads and mining co., what else is there to do in the winter time?

It's definitely quieter in the winter, but a lot of the attractions on the strip are still open. The Rick Wilcox magic show is pretty good and the kids will like it. Some of the other attractions, like that upside-down building, Ripley's, and the Haunted House are pretty stupid but the kids might like them. Buffalo Phil's restaurant delivers your food via train and has a really big arcade, but I thought the food sucked. Moosejaw has a good arcade, good pizza, great beer, and is fun for the family.

My advice - get away at night and go to Ho-Chunk casino. It's about a 5 minute drive away from the Wilderness.

We go every year to the Dells, we generally go on a Friday and leave Sunday. Outside of going out to dinner we pretty much stay on site, we go to Moosejaws for dinner one night. Usually my wife tries to get away and head to the Outlet Mall, stores there we do not have. We hit the waterparks which tires out the kids, then head over to the arcade or lazer tag. We stayed at Glacier Canyon in the past, there are pretty long walks indoors to get to the waterparks or you cna take shuttles to and from the waterparks.

If your daughters like the Wave pool area.. I would suggest renting one of the Cabanas near the wave pool area. It's about 75-100 dollars to rent one but it's nice to have a place to hang out..

Good idea. Probably doing the wizard/ripley/4d thing. Gem mining and knuckleheads our last night. Will check out moose jaw. Kids have never had hibachi so head over to Narutos another night. Eat at knuckleheads our last night.

I'd like to go to the magic show but it doesn't look like they have shows available.

Thanks for the suggestions.
