Really wanted Upton here, had him in my top 10. My highest remaining name is Kinsler, no honest it is.

I look at a guy like Upton going 16th and think I'd really like to be on the back end of the draft. I don't see a huge difference between him and Kemp at 6. But hopefully the guy I get at 3.6 will be notably better than the guy picked at 3.16 to make up for it.

I agree. The talent level has been on a plateau for a while now. I could have easily chosen a number of players at #9.

Can't draw upon what I already know ... I like WIS, but I don't eat, breathe, and sleep MLB.That said., one of my biggest issues last season was lack of a true middle-of-the-order bat. Scarcity of these kinds of elite bats seems to trump positional scarcity, so ...

None ... most of them seem to publish in December. Will probably pick up USA Today's Sports Weekly this week (NL) and next (AL) so that I have spring-training rosters (hopefully more than 25 deep) and more current info.Also, at each of my picks, I will run a short list of names through Google News and check out any potential issues for each guy. Had I done that last year, I wouldn't have picked Mauer in the first round -- had no clue he was rehabbing an injury at the time.

Pick your park with your second rounder or you'll be skipped in the stadium draft. Stadium scarcity is a bigger issue in B2tF drafts than in regular sims.

So much harder in this format to find quality IP. A 230+ inning workhorse is a great way to start.

Totally agree. That is why I went pitching in the first 2 rounds in both drafts. Hopefully it works out better this time.Got jacked on Cliff Lee in the last sim. He walked close to twice as many as he did in real life.
