In my mind, I grew up playing sports, so anything sports-connected seems to be normal to me. I guess for kids that grew up singing in Glee Club and reading fantasy books, other things would seem normal to them.

Came from chat, when that mock trial picture got posted months ago (which stalker looked that up, btw?). Cappy reflected on the dorkier things he had enjoyed in his younger days--D&D included. I guess he was trying to sympathize, but I just thought it was kinda nerdy. Big difference between doing something to get into college and playing wizards because you didn't make the baseball team. Didn't say that then, but since Glee Club has decided to get all Stalkery again, figured now was a good time to discuss it.

The guys I hang out with pretty much all grew up playing sports, and we all play fantasy football, but I can't imagine the reaction if someone owned up to playing D&D or being in Glee Club. But like I said, I guess it depends what circles you grow up in.
