In these troubled times, I wanted the dice roll to unify us toward a communal outcome, instead of being another opportunity for shenanigans.

I'm in favor of sticking with WIS salary. I don't trust any of these nerds not to game the system. Especially not myself - if I thought we could order them however want, I would've taken Guidry over Sandberg and stuck 78 in the 3 slot.

... I wasn't actually aware that "strict order by salary" was ever a rule in this thing. Missed that somehow.

That said ... if it's the same rule for everyone, it's a fair rule, no?

 
Lol yeah I’m not checking any of this stuff, GB our fearless commish Eephus and anyone else checking, so whatever they want I’m totally cool with.

But since Koya mentioned he was doing random I went and looked and he has Scott’s insane 86 season in his 2 spot, which again is fine if that’s what we’re doing, but otherwise.

Players must have three WIS eligible seasons between 1977 and 1992.  At the end of each round a d3 will be rolled to select which season will be used in the sim for all players drafted in the preceding round.  By default the three potential seasons for the random roll will be the top three eligible seasons ranked according to WIS salary.  If a drafter wants to substitute a different season prior to the roll, he/she must specify the season.  WIS salaries will still be used to determine order of the seasons for the dice roll.

No cap, clones or partials.

Same here. I thought that was what we were doing anyway. Thus the comments on the last page about not wanting us to roll a 1 so that we didn't get any crazy good pitcher seasons.

You can pick any three player seasons you want but they must be listed in descending order of WIS salary.

I've checked the pitchers and changed Mike Scott.  I think the others were all OK. 

I'll do the hitters before the round #1 roll

Oh, I'll figure SOMEthing.

*within the rules.  We do still get to choose which three seasons though yes, doesn't have to be their top three by salary (that would be a hill I might die on.  digitally speaking, that is). But we will order them by salary. AS YOU COMMAND.

His other two should perform very well, and don't have as much volatility as Scott nor Guidry IIRC.  At one point I had Sabe's ahead for that reason (forget which was the third season)

Scott is also an obvious one. Both he and Guidry have 3rd seasons with better numbers but lower IP and thus less salary.

Richard joins Ryan in having an otherwise nice #2 season with a gross BB/9 (4.61).

Most who took hitters are probably happy with the 2. Brett and Schmidt miss out on insanely good seasons but still have really nice fallback options.

I was probably the only person hoping for 3. 91 Bonds had his most PAs and still came in at .936 normOPS.  Slight drop off from 92, but would’ve been worth it to push everyone else down.
