With DeAngelo having a good week and game is..... (1 Viewer)

We pretty much can say Bush will be in somewhat of a rbbc even though i think he will be involved alot in the game just not too many rushes....(maybe 10-15 rushes) and involved alot in the passing game. But with an excellent week of practice and senior bowl game i would think DeAngelo stock has risen.........is it high enough for him to go 1.01 in rookie drafts?I am a houston texan homer so i know i will be taking Bush in 2 leagues that i own the 1.01 pick. Even though i will admit he might not be the most productive rb for next year but with Kubiak making all the right moves and system i see him being a monster.....IMO.

Same question but WHAT would have to happen for Bush not to go #1?Like if Maroney went to INDY, would he be the top pick in rookie drafts?LenDale in Greenbay? (cause in pittsburg im sure it will be rbbc)Deangelo in san fran with Norv turner????What situation would VAULT any of the top rb's into the top pick?

Indy or Seattle would be awesome, but so would a team like Carolina (likely losing Davis and Foster), NE (aging Dillon) or Pittsburgh (losing Staley and Bettis). Is it enough to take those backs over Bush. I say no, but it makes the #2 pick a lot better. I don't see any of those backs going to those teams except for maybe NE based on their draft position.

unless indy trades up to select deangelo williams (highly unlikely)...i'd take reggie bush 1.01 in rookie drafts over any RB going to any team

The fantasy draft order for the 2006 rookie RBs will be a work in progress for some time yet. The combine (and pro-days) will introduce a whole other set of parameters for comparing the RBs, as will placement on an NFL roster.

This is a great year to have multiple 1st round / early 2nd round selections in Dynasty. Knowing that you will have to 'settle' for either White, Williams, Maroney, Calhoun, Young or Leinart at No. 7 can only be a good thing. :)

Then with the other RBs (including the likes of Drew, Harrison, Addai, Norwood, Washington, Henderson and possibly Whitehead) and top WR / TE prospects, you can expect to find great value extending well into the 2nd round.

But since we're talking about Williams specifically...my decision on where to rank him will depend mostly on where he's drafted.

NY Jets? Martin? Houston? QB? O-line?

Green Bay? Are we sure Green won't be back? What about Gado? Who will be QB? O-line fixed?

San Fran? Do they intend to cut Barlow? Didn't Gore do enough last year to earn a shot in '06?

Arizona? Giving up on Arrington already? O-line?

As much as I like Williams, I'd look long and hard at some of the other RBs if they're drafted into better situations than what Deangelo might be facing if selected by one of the above.

NFL-wise, no way Bush drops from 1.01.Fantasy-wise, you'd think Bush was a lock for 1.01, and likely will be (barring injury) come fantasy rookie drafts. But fantasy people all have their own ways of going about things, so I guess it could be possible, though unlikely and not adviseable, to draft someone other than Bush at 1.01.I think about all DeAngelo or anyone else can do is improve their stock and be picked at 1.02+
