Chargers place NT Williams on injured reserve

The Chargers suffered a major setback Saturday when they placed highly regarded NT Jamal Williams on injured reserve with a triceps injury. The move is surprising, particularly because Williams was listed as questionable on the Friday injury report.
The loss of Williams leaves Ogemdi Nwagbuo, who made three tackles in his first NFL game Monday night, as the only defensive tackle on San Diego's roster.
The team promoted DE Andre Coleman from the practice squad to fill Williams' roster spot. Coleman was activated last Monday in time to dress for the Raiders game, but he was cut the next day and added to the practice squad.
