With K Jones Out Who is the Starting RB in DET? (1 Viewer)

I'd have thought it was going to be Harris but I've heard a couple reports that Cason is going to handle the RB duties and Harris will act as the third down back. Is this true?

I need a RB for this weeks' playoff game and against GB i like the matchup. Any help/input/info greatly appreciated.

Josh McCown :wall: Well, it wouldnt suprise me. But between Cason & Harris - its Harris most likely. He has been in the rotation ahead of Cason nearly all the time. When KJ went down - Harris got the final carry (stuffed at the goalline on 3rd down).....BTW....Not sure it matters - neither player is worthy. The Lions cant run the ball and they lost two more OL this week. They will be playing with practice squaders or FA wire material the rest of the season.

Local radio claims Harris will get the majority of the carries.

I think it will be RBBC with Harris getting the majority and the goal line carries. But, like previously stated, their effectiveness will be limited.

Look elsewhere. I'd rather take a chance on someone like Lundy, Leon Washington, Fargas, Norwood, Mewelde Moore, ect.

Detroit/Martz just doesnt run a lot. Jone's value came in the form of receptions. The only other RB in Detroit who could produce decent #s in this system was already placed on IR earlier in the season.

Yeah and in most leagues with 12 teams and 16+ roster spots all those guys have been long gone.

I've also heard CASON with Harris

handling the 3rd down duties.

Harris has been unimpressive,

so giving Cason a shot makes sense.

Cason is starter (short yards)...but Harris is long yards and 3rd down back...better receiver. :lmao:
:( I'm not sure I understand.Cason is the starter + short yardage carries and Harris is 3rd down? What are "long" carries?

I assume "long yards" means many yards to go for a 1st down. Like 2nd and 22 or 3rd and 15.

anybody watching the lions report on the ticket???? im 15 minutes late to the party and was hoping for word on cason/harris..... sad as ir is id linke to start cason...... I w as burned by the fason decission last week and would like to avoid that situation again....any word ??? burller bueller

I would avoid this situation all together. It reeks too much of the Fason/Pinner debacle of last week. Harris could end up starting, run 3 times for 2 yards then Cason comes in and rips off a 12 yarder and never leaves the game after that. :coffee:

unfortunately mt running backs suck...which is why it matters.....in a few pints scored by my runningbacks kinda way
It matters for me as well. Like I said before, I'm going with Cason and keeping my fingers crossed. Harris had his shot already and didn't do anything. Green Bay's run D is suspect. Someone is going to get decent #'s today...here's to hoping it's Cason  GL All...
