Monday 10/29:

MNF: GB @ DEN (Invesco Field).........................ESPN

World Series Game 5: BOS @ COL (Coors Field)....FOX (Game Time hasn't been announced yet)

Has anything been announced about this?

Will they play both games at the same time?

How far apart are the stadiums?

Will both games be a sellout?

Which game will have the better TV rating?

Why didn't MLB just play on Tues 10/30.....then take 10/31 Halloween off for Travel and then resume Game 6 on Thurs 11/1?

The worst football game is better than the best World Series. Here's to a sweep and getting baseball off the airwaves quickly.

The football game will have the better rating, but asking if a World Series game is going to be sold out has to be shtick.

It's still ESPN, and there are still people that have to pay extra to get it on basic cable. The World Series on a broadcast network will get better ratings.

Red sox played last night during the Sunday night game, didnt they?

I don't think it'll be a major issue.

And as a few fans have pointed out, might not be a game 5.

Not sure what you're getting at. It shows that as a whole, the World Series was pulling over 11 million viewers for a Series in 2006 that was irrelevant to most of the country and got the lowest ratings ever. That would still be enough to beat MNF for about half the games last year.

Thank you for raising this concern. In the entire history of professional sports, there has never been an NFL game and a MLB game going on at the same time in the same city. If I were a resident of Denver, I would start stocking up on essentials. It's going to be pure anarchy!

The series will be over by then mannnn...
I give the Sox more credit than that. I think the Rocks will beat them in 5. I know that's a bold prediction since they haven't lost in the playoffs yet, but I guess one loss on three series isn't bad. We've(the fans) pretty much swept Coors Field clean so far these playoffs, I think our brooms are worn out. I fully expect the Rockies to come back home to Denver with a split 1-1 and win the series Monday night 4-1. If either team has the chance to win the series Monday night then Baseball gets the better ratings. If not, Football gets better ratings. To the OP, the stadiums are within about 3 miles of each other on opposite sides of Interstate 25. The Broncos fans will be able to hear the roar of the crowd from Coors Field when the Rockies win the pennant.

"about" down?7 out of 17, with another that was just about a wash for a bad series with record low ratings. the ratings for the 2004 series were significantly better.

how much you want to put on which gets better ratings if this happens?
