Wk16 Game Thread - Baltimore Ravens at Dallas Cowboys (1 Viewer)

By my count, Mason left the game injured after 3 of his 4 catches. His shoulder must be killing him. C'mon Iron Man, please get back out there for the 2nd half. I hope the Baltimore trainers have some good pain killing injections to give him.....
Mason back out there

it sure was a good thing the Cowboys traded all those draft picks for Roy Williams.

That was so DUMB Tony Romo.Good move to elude the sack, by time but just the decision making is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. He hasn't learned is all I can say.
He had T.O. open, but having to avoid the rush with that duck-and spin gave Reed the opportunity to jump it.
He had TO open before the duck and spin. After the spin, he came out of it and just tossed it up for a jump ball. The play was ridiculous.....he does not fully understand the importance of field position and maintaining the ball.Yes, he's exciting at times and can have some big games, but he fails for many of the reasons I've mentioned and what bothers me the most isn't that he failed, because everyone does. It's that he hasn't learned from the same freaken mistakes. Pull the ball under there, throw it away or look for something underneath. You can punt it away and you go into the half with a 7-6 lead.......1 more than you started the game with which is a good thing.

Throwing a 50 yard pass 10 yards short helped Reed too.
Right. I was just sayin' the play was there had Romo not had to avoid the rush.

A lot of people have argued with me for two years that Romo is a better QB than Ben Roethlisberger. So far, Romo's effort this week looks like Ben's effort last week: both, up to this point, have had trouble doing anything against this great Raven defense.

Yet beginning late in the third quarter, Ben did what he always does in these situations: he finds ways to move the ball. Can Romo do the same in a playoff-like atmosphere against a very good defense? We'll see. Until he does, I will always reject arguments that he is the equal of or better than Big Ben.

He's a ghost and for those thinking that somehow he'll be good for the future are kidding themselves. I said it at the time of the trade, he's no better than Patrick Crayton. That move was by far the best thing the Lions did for themselves all season.

I rarely agree with you but I do with this. Besides the fact that Ben has a SB ring, he has an innate ability to get the job done, something we're still waiting for from Romo on a more consistent basis.Note to Garrett: Run the freaken ball..it's what put Pittsburgh on their heals and what will against Baltimore.

Just tuned into the game. Anyone give me a brief recap? Looks like Owens and Barber aren't doing squat (again) - Witten either. Romo suck that bad?

Please don't get me wrong though. I like Romo and I want to see him succeed. And I agree with you about running the ball.

Choice playing most of the time in the backfield.Witten blocking mostly except for final drive of 1st half.TO dropped a TD pass. (Choice scored)

and Derrick Mason is a warrior.

Great play call, Baltimore is just working harder than Dallas is. They're now winning the line of scrimmage battle.

They started deep in their own territory and put together a couple first downs. The offense did their job, they moved the ball and now they'll punt and let the defense play.

It's been their recipe of success for years.

Before they had a legit QB.Since they opened up the playbook with Flacco (started 2nd half of Colts game) they averaged about 30 points a game before the Pittsburgh game. Granted against very good / great teams this isn't a pretty offense, but they don't have Ray Rice to help some of the passing game.Cam Cameron is calling successful plays and keeping them in the game vs. a good Dallas defense, but don't sell their entire offense short of what they've done this year with a legit NFL QB.

Romo ovethrew it.....period.
He's so used to pressure, he's overthrowing his deep balls even when there's none. If he keeps this up, it's really tough to not put the "overrated" tag on him. Romo's better than average, but no superstar at all. He gets built up so much, it makes you wonder what his rep would be if he played elsewhere?

If I'm not a fan of either team, how do you not root for Baltimore? They're leaving it all on the table, I admire that as much as it hurts to watch Dallas get outplayed and outthought.

With that said, I am hoping for a Baltimore turnover now and then they'd have wished they had the 3 back.

Man alive for Jason Garrett being the 'Head Coach of the Future' - I sure as hell have been TOTALLY unimpressed by him this year.

The Cowboys defense has improved since Wade Phillips took over the playcalling again.

As down as I am on the Bears this year, I had low expectations. The Cowboys have MAILED IN this season.

Wish i could watch this game or at listen to it on the radio....but no luck....thanks nfl network i hate you.

This is a good feed.
It's reliable but the quality blows.
yeah. good enough for me
better than nothing for sure - just sayin. On full screen it looks like they're underwater.Anyway whoever this circus clown commentator is on NFL network, he is bad. I mean Theismann would be an upgrade kinda bad. At least Joey can pronounce words.

PS agree this is FAR from over. Only down 2 scores, whole quarter left (and DAL driving).

PS2 how do the Cowboys not factor Choice into their plans next year? That could be RBBC hell.

The Cowboys are doing well with the short passes now. But as an owner of Jason Witten in my league's Superbowl this week, I sure wouldn't mind seeing a few more passes to him....please??

As I've written before, it's going to be hard to put Tashard Choice on the bench next year after the last few weeks.
