I don't think it's that bad of a pick. Davis is a better prospect than Maroney. The only reason it's truly suspect is because RBs are more valuable than TEs in those leagues and because he probably could've moved back 2-3 spots and still gotten his guy.

In the Davis pick I was looking at... in addition to having Dillon on his roster (and passing on the opportunity to secure the Pats backfield), I just noticed he also has Jason Witten and Randy McMichael on his roster, so he wasn't really starving at TE. Just a bad pick.

I'm not familiar with Z leagues scoring, but in mine, Davis went #2 and it was a fine pick.

In another league, Vince Young went at 1.04 (each player available twice, it went Bush, Bush, DWill, VY, Maroney, DWill, Maroney...) so basically #2 The next VYwent at 1.22, after both Leinarts were taken (one by me)

Not necessarily a horrible pick - guy traded up in our dynasty league to #2 to get Davis, but we give 2ppr to TEs (WR get 1ppr). Guy at third woulda picked him also. Not sure what the scoring is in Z legues for TEs though.

Those were 2 separate drafts. We do start 2 QB's, but Young at #2 is still too early. I would say Drew at #6 was worse since he could have had his pick of any QB or Davis, plus had several offers to trade down.

EBF, I agree with the assessment Davis is probably the best positional prospect in the draft besides Bush on that side of the ball. The economy of Zealots, though, is driven by RB. I have never...ever...seen a league with a value that high on RB. The guy could have ransomed that pick; moved down a couple times for players or more picks and still gotten Davis.

Too each his own.
