How the hell did any vote for Full Metal Jacket!?! Pure genius!

I think all four were well done movies and have little criticism for any of them.

American Sniper and Saving Private Ryan were top of the heap so I was left choosing between Full Metal Jacket and Platoon. Full Metal Jacket is a 'deeper' movie and probably even better made than Platoon but I ended up taking it just because there are a few points where it may have been a little longer than needed. By the slimmest of margins, I was forced to Full Metal Jacket.

I have no idea why American Sniper is getting the hate. I am suspicious it is politically/socially motivated versus the movie itself but then again- taste in movies is subjective. My wife likes the Twilight Series. :X

I liked American Sniper but wouldn't put it anywhere near Full Metal Jacket. Epic movie that told the story very well. Sniper was full of Hollywood stuff that felt overdone at times.

My least favorite (and it's not close) is Full Metal Jacket, followed pretty closely by Platoon. Really liked American Sniper and loved Saving Private Ryan, like top 2 or 3 movies ever loved.

American sniper, of the 4, is my least liked and i did like it a lot. This is probably due to multiple watchings of the other 3.

I do think that lone survivor was a better movie than sniper. This maybe due to the intensity of the 'battle and escape' action of survivor.

Also the scene with cooper on the phone with his wife, actually happened (at least kyle wrote about that in the book)

I really didn't like voting for Full Metal Jacket and each time I think about it- I go back and forth between Platoon and Full Metal Jacket. It may be because at times Full Metal Jacket slowed and when I first watched it, I was a kid so likely a lot was not appreciated.
