A. What are your bottom 5 WR corps this year?

32. Minnesota

31. Tennessee

30. Philly** (subject to change)

30. San Fran

29. Atlanta

28. Buffalo

B. How does this affect their QB?

32. Minnesota: Brad Johnson seems almost undraftable in small leagues, perhaps a backup in larger

31. Tennessee: Volek :X

30. Philly: McNabb is still considered a top 5, but should he be?

29. Atlanta: Vick remains top 10 IMO

28. Buffalo: It may be more than Losman sucks than the WR corps, but aside from Evans, this group is horrible, Bills QB can only be a backup

C. How does this affect their RB?

32. Minnesota: Chester Taylor (Moore / Fason) just may be a top RB this year

31. Tennessee: White? Henry? Brown if he stays? I won't' expect much

30. Philly: Westbrook in PPR  top 10?

29. Atlanta: Dunn remains a stud

28. Buffalo: McGahee, IMO is top 10

D. How does this affect their TE?

32. Minnesota: Wiggins might be a top sleeper

31. Tennessee: Troupe / Kinney / Scaife are a top group, Troupe is a possible top 5 TE

30. Philly: LJ Smith is another possible top 5 TE

29. Atlanta: Crumpler remains top 6-8 IMO

28. Buffalo: Who?

Do you disagree with my bottom 5?

Are there major sleeper possibilities here?

Edit - Philly is no longer a bottom 5. Not elite, but better than these 5.

Yeah. Where's San Fran?
I agree, I would take out ATL and put in San Fran.White, Jenkins, Lelie > Bryant, Battle, Gilmoregood post btwbecause of what you say above regarding the wrs, I am targetting LJ Smith and Troupe as two options at TE this season. The secret is out on Watson with his game on Saturday night and he will probably go higher in later drafts but I still see good value with Smith and Troupe who will be major components of their teams passing attacks.

32. Bears

31. Titans

30. Chargers

29. Eagles

28. Falcons

B. How does this affect their QB?

32. Bears - He should sucks for FF but wins games.

31. Titans - Unless it's Young and he can run well, he will struggle as a Fantasy player

30. Chargers - Not a big deal when you have the best TE and RB in the NFL.

29. Eagles - Like Chargers have great weapons at TE and RB as well as a playmaker QB. Little effect.

28. Falcons - See Eagles.

C. How does this affect their RB?

32. Bears - If this does not turn out to be RBBC, they will have a boarderline stud.

31. Titans - Again, too many hands in the RB jar to really be worried about what affect the QB has.

30. Chargers - Little affect. LT's YPA struggle due to it, but the amount of touches he gets more than makes up for it. Plus, this is IMO a major reason he is used so much in the passing game. If anything, it's a plus.

29. Eagles - Creates great opportunity for Westy that he is relied apon in the passing game from a Fantasy perspective.

28. Falcons - No affect IMO.

D. How does this affect their TE?

32. Bears - He is a glorified tackle.

31. Titans - Makes him the best pass cathing option on the team

30. Chargers - See Titans

29. Eagles - Makes him a great red zone threat.

28. Falcons - See Chargers and Titans.

Teams left off that could make list:

Buffalo - Simple truth is, L. Evans is this years S. Moss IMO. Solid WR2 possible WR1.

SF - Bryant is a guy that gets little love, but should prove to be a solid WR2.

Clev - I think Edwards comes on.

Minn - Really like Williamson and Johnson will get the most out of the group.

Jack - Someone just has to emerge from this group. Right?

Hous - I think improvments up front on the Oline will allow for better passing success this year. The problem has never been talent at WR for this team.

NYJ - Was very close to putting them at 5 instead of Atl, but the lack of Rec options at RB and TE kept me from doing so.

Thanks, and you are 100% correct. How did I skip over San Fran? :wall:I'd put them somewhere ahead of TN, but below Atlanta / Buffalo (Evans > Bryant). I'm not going to edit my post right now, but you are correct.

I think that Buffalo will surprise a lot of people. But I don't suspect that too many people will agree with me.

Here are ones that I think are also terrible: Jets, Niners (already mentioned), Texans (yes, I really do think that they're not very good), Detroit (R. Williams is overated slightly and everyone else stinks), and I'm going out on a limb here but the Jaguars. Everyone is excited about Matt Jones and Ernest Wilford and they both have some nice physical skills, but Jones has been a WR for all of one year and Wilford dropped a higher percentage of passes than anyone else in the league last season.

Do you disagree with my bottom 5? Yes.The reason SF, Houston and Buffalo were among the worst in passing yards last year was due to pass protection problems.

Brad Johnson is still a career 60% passer and the line will give him ample time to throw the ball. I guarantee Minny will not be last in receiving no matter how weak you think their WRs are.

Donovan McNabb has only had a go to WR 1.5 years in his time in the league. McNabb is a playmaker and will be just fine with what little he has.

I think the worst teams as far as WR's are Minn, Chi, SF, Tenn, and NYJ.

The question is about the WR's, not the QB or the OL.

Yes I get your point but it doesn't usually work that way. Without a good Oline and QB, you can have talented WRs and still have bad FF WRs. Except for a few games, Andre Johnson and Lee Evans were virtually unstartable last year.

Buffalo's TE's- Robert Royal (has been a real nice suprise, Kevin Everett, 3rd round pick from 05. Out all last year with ACL)

Don't discouont the Bills.

A. What are your bottom 5 WR corps this year?

32. Titans

31. Eagles

30. Browns

29. Bears

28. 49ers

B. How does this affect their QB?

32. Titans: He'll be handing off a lot when he's not zoning in on Bennett

31. Eagles: McNabb has decent talent at the position, but they're extremely young. They'll cost him a few picks

30. Browns: Frye will have decent WRs to target, but not very much opportunity for FF points from them

29. Bears: It's hard to know who will be their QB and if he'll be consistent enough to make any Bears WR worthy of a roster spot outside of Muhammad

28. 49ers: When Antonio Bryant is your top option you know that the corps isn't overly solid by any means

C. How does this affect their RB?

32. Titans: Not expecting too much out of them unless they settle on one and ride him

31. Eagles: The one position McNabb can count on outside of Smith

30. Browns: Droughns got 300+ touches last year and that will likely continue with Harrison now there to help spell him

29. Bears: Run, run, run

28. 49ers: Gore will receive many more dump offs, along with the TEs

D. How does this affect their TE?

32. Titans: Troupe and Kinney see increased touches and have more value than their WR counterparts

31. Eagles: LJ Smith is the top pass catching target not named Westbrook

30. Browns: We'll see if Winslow can live up to his hype now that he's back

29. Bears: They have a TE that does something outside of run blocking?

28. 49ers: If Johnson can stay healthy, he and Davis could become pretty decent options in the middle of the field to help Alex Smith progress

So much for Philly as a bottom 5.

Might still be bottom 10, but potential to be average is there now.

KC without #### Vermiel? Also is Kennison still #1 target there? If so that's gotta stink. Green gets his garbage passing yds and RB's punch in TD's.

Why are so many down on Tenn's WR corps? It's not great, but Bennett has a recent top-10 (#6) WR fiinish to his credit; certainly none of the other teams on these lists have anyone who's put up 1200 yards and 11 TDs. And Givens is no slouch, either. Bennett is probably better-suited to a #2 role, and Givens as well, but they're both accomplished receivers.
