Worth a late round flier (1 Viewer)

This is the latest blurb on kffl, does this guy deserve a last round flier in a dynasty or is he ever going to amount to anything in the NFL?

Cowboys | Romo may get his shot in preseason

Mon, 5 Jun 2006 05:09:24 -0700

Mac Engel, of the Star-Telegram, reports the Dallas Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells said he hopes backup QB Tony Romo "shows enough to be confident to play him." The head coach did not say the quarterback spot was an open competition. "I think had he been thrown to the wolves, so to speak, he probably would be looked upon a little differently than he is now," Parcells said. "So we'll see; I'm hoping to play him quite a bit in preseason."

Edited to add: After all, he'll be backing up an ancient Bledsoe, and is throwing to Witten and TO. Any value?

It depends.Start 1 or 2 QB? Do you have Bledsoe? Can you trade him to the Bledsoe owner?

How deep / big are the teams, and will this cost you a flier on a sleeper RB/WR that could help you more?

That's the questions you have to answer for yourself.

In a 30-35 man roster, 12 team start 2 QB then absolutely.

In a 20-man, 10 team league start 1 QB no way.

12 team, 25 man rosters, start 1 qb.Doubt that there's much/any chance of trading him to Bledsoe owner.

translation: "Drew Henson was bad enough in NFLE that we have ruled him out as backup. If Bledsoe goes down, and Romo sucks, the season is sunk. Im praying that Romo is better than anyone realizes he is, because I don't want to have to sign Vinny Testaverde"
