Would you allow an owner to own two teams in one league? (1 Viewer)

I run a 24 team dynasty league with separate player lists (For example, LT is on one team in one conference and on another in the other conference) we do have the teams cross over four times during the season and for the final week for the fantasy bowl. Each division winner gets their $250.00 back. There is no cross conference trading so there is no problem as far as that is concerned. My post is for some of your responses on why or why not would you allow for double ownership.

Hope to hear from the best forum posters in fantasy football.

Not a chance

What would happen if this owners team in pool A was doing very well, and played is pool B team who was out of contention?

Wouldn't that leave a lot of lineup criticism if he started some "lesser" guys for his pool B team

I can't believe you have to ask.
Well the reason i asked is because i like to hear other owners opinions, and i have some owners in my league that feel, "Hey they are in separate conferences and if they want to fork out $500 ($250.00 per team) and they can put both teams in the play-offs or win their divisions or play in the fantasy bowl, they earned it. Once every three years, they will have to play each other and it could cost both of them a play-off spot. They are in different conferences so there can be no collusion at all?Payouts are huge for the first two spots and there is a $250 payout for all division winners, and total point champion. Thanks for the reply though.

In that case I would put it to a league vote.

If there was absolutely no cross-over other than the Superbowl I would ask the league vote on it. (essentially 2 independent leagues with a cumulative SB)

But since there are cross-over regular season games (making it not 2 independent leagues), I wouldn't consider it.

with your league's setup i might allow it if in the seasons that his two teams are to play each other, that they should play in week one of the season to greatly reduce any reasons for him to try or for anyone else to accuse him of any funny business. i guess it's possible that even in that situation he could feel like one of his teams had a much better chance than the other so he wanted to make sure that one team started the season with a win so there is still some potential for "funny business". it is only once every three years and if it's week one than i'm sure he'd field his best lineup for both teams and it would probably be somewhat obvious if he didn't. i don't think many people play their backups in week one.

but, i'd talk to others in the league and see what they think and if anyone has a big problem with it.

I am in a 14 team league that has 3 or 4 owners with 2 teams each. I do not think it has ever been a problem. This league started as a smaller league where double ownership was needed to field a league.
