Would you make this trade sending away David JOhnson? (1 Viewer)

I play in a 10-team, 2 QB, .5 PPR league. We start 2 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, TE, Flex (RB/WR/TE), K, and DEF. I'm 4-4 and in 7th place. This is a re-draft league. My team is as follows:

QB - Cousins, Rivers, Stanton, Osweiler; RB - David Johnson, Ajayi, Kamara, McCaffrey, Lamar Miller; WR - Deandre Hopkins, Michael Thomas, Corey Davis, Alshon Jeffery; TE - Jimmy Graham; K - Bryant; DEF - Jacksonville

There is a team in our league that offered Greg Olsen for him. I don't really "need" Olsen but then it might allow me to trade Jimmy Graham before next Friday's trade deadline and I can pick up Hunter Henry off waivers. I think I can go after another TE or RB or QB with Graham. Thoughts? Not sure I can wait on Johnson anymore as I try and sew up a playoff spot.

I would definitely move Johnson in your situation but I don't think I would do it for Olsen.  I don't see that as any help for you at all at this point.  You need someone that will get you some wins right now so you can even make the playoffs.

But for who? Do I try and sell him to first or 2nd place team? I've had him on the block for a while and this is the only offer I've received for him and if it is for someone who can help me win now, who would that be? Johnson isn't going to have "that" much value at this point in time. All that being said, I understand what you're saying.

I have no idea what your options would be because I don't know your league.  Shop DJ to everyone.  See if someone shows interest and try and get a piece that improves your starting lineup.  I have no idea what that may be because I don't know the rosters.  I just don't see that Olsen improves your lineup right now since you still don't know for sure when he will be back.

WR: Julio Jones, Michael Crabtree, Golden Tate, Ted Ginn, Jr., Josh Gordon

TE: Greg Olsen, Jordan Reed, A.J. Derby

K: Greg Zuerlein

DEF: Baltimore

Hopkins and DJ for Julio.  I really think Hopkins falls off a cliff with Watson gone.  I think this is a big upgrade and if Julio goes on a tear he could win you weeks all by himself.

Its a big gamble for sure but in your position I think you need to go for a Boom guy and hope he hits.

David Johnson unlikely to return this year.

"General News (Tue Oct 31): is reportedly doing well in his rehab, but general manager Steve Keim wasn't overly optimistic - per Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com - about his ability to return to the field anytime soon. Also, beat writer Kent Somers reports Johnson is not expected to return this season, according to head coach Bruce Arians."

Trade him for anything you can get.  Olsen would be very good value.
