Would you rather have the #2 or the #8 pick (1 Viewer)

I have the 8th pick in my 10 team PPR redraft league and the owner of the #2 pick wants out of it. We cn trade draft positions and but it has to be straight up. I have been doing mock drafts from the 8th and have been pretty happy taking the best WR @ 8 getting either Fitz or Moss and then hitting up either the best RB in the 2nd rd or another top WR. Have been fairly happy with my mocks.

However, since the #2 pick just came up I am thinking of trading mine and taking MJD or Forte at #2 and then going from there.

I am curious what people think about this draft if they would rather pick #2 or #8

In a PPR league I think either way is great, but it depends on your starting requirements. If you have to start 2 RB's and 2 WR's I'd love having MJD as my guy. But sliding down to 8 is looking tempting and going with Andre Johnson and Fitz/Moss on the turn or something like that. Getting 2 of the top 5 WR's in a PPR league is huge.

I am in a 12 team and have the 4th spot, but our spots are "priority" spots, which means I can move down to any spot below me or above if it was vacated afdter the 1st 3 guys choose their spots. I think I'm dropping to 7 or 8 and going WR-WR myself.

The catch is my league only requires 1 RB be started, 2 WR's and then 2 flex, and it's PPR. So you could roll out a 1 RB 4 WR offense if you want. With that I am loving the idea of goijg WR-WR in my league.

I guess it depends how much you value MJD or Forte.

For this year, I think the most value comes at the bookend positions of the draft - I would hate to be stuck in the 5 or 6 range. Personally, I have MJD neck-and-neck with ADP. One of the reasons being that I think MJD is one of the very few 'safe' first round picks this year. Although I wouldn't mind the #8 slot, I would prefer the #2 slot.

Good luck.

I would think a lot of this depends on your lineup requirements each week. If you HAVE to start three WRs, I would stay in the 8 slot and load up on WRs in the first two rounds. A sick combo could be Fitz/Andre Johnson and or Calvin Johnson/Randy Moss. Then you can load up on Rb's or Qb's, depending on how the draft falls.

JMO, good luck
