Just noticed the little rewind symbol next to some shows. Allows you to change the channel to a show in the middle of progress, hit the back button twice, and brings you to the beginning of that show.

very cool.

I've only done ondemand if I forget to record something or we lose power/signal, so it's usually a few days after. How fast are they usually available after the showing?

Basically if you turn to the show while it's still broadcasting, even if it's in the last minute, you can stream from the beginning. Once the scheduled time of the show is over, you can't access it any longer except through the internet connected on demand feature

What's funny is that I got the first model Tivo ( maybe in 2000-2001?) and was explaining it to friend. He asked" so you can go to a channel and start that show from the beginning?" and I said no you can't do that. He just said "so what good is it?"

If there's a reverse arrow next to the show name in the grid, go to the channel. The instructions will say to click the rewind (left) button twice.

When looking in the guide look for a little circular arrow icon. Those shows are eligible.

I can do that with any Primetime show on the big 4 networks on my Hopper. Any pattern as to which shows are "eligible" for the feature on DTV?
