Kupp will have surgery for his High Ankle Sprain and go in IR - Reported by NFL Network (from Sean McVay).
Cooper Kupp will undergo ankle surgery and will go to injured reserve.
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Kupp suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 10 against the Cardinals and will require surgery. He'll miss at least the next four games. With the Rams' season spiraling down the drain, there might be no reason for Kupp to return in 2022. Kupp's injury is the final blow to the Rams in a lost season following their 2021 Super Bowl title. His absence will leave a giant hole in the down-bad LA offense: Kupp has accounted for 34 percent of the team's targets and 38 percent of the team's air yards through Week 10. Without Kupp sidelined, Tyler Higbee -- who caught all eight of his Week 10 targets -- becomes a high-end TE1 and Allen Robinson enters the WR3 conversation. Rotoworld's Denny Carter wrote about the fallout of Kupp's injury in his Week 11 waiver wire article.

If Stafford plays this year, Rams are making a big mistake. Obvious the guy wasn't right from game 1. Let him try to get healthy for 2023Never want to assume but This offense may be the worst in the nfl now or close to it. Allen Robinson couldn’t hold kupps jock. Dude barely got targeted when kupp had all the defensive attention. Teams will just play zone full time and neuter Robinson because he sucks at it. Stafford has no point in coming back either but he will. His elbow sucked this year. Haven’t seen a Super Bowl winning team look this bad the following year. Rams weren’t close to the best team last year but won it all anyways
It’s been a nightmare from the moment the news broke about Stafford’s elbow. I can’t remember a SB winning team that fell apart in the following season.Never want to assume but This offense may be the worst in the nfl now or close to it. I was posting on these boards when that trade was made that the Lions took a worse deal to appease Stafford. In other words not a good deal for them and I was hammering them for it. Pretty reliable sources say Carolina thought they had reached agreement on a trade that would have netted the Lions Carolina's pick 8 in 2021 plus some additional later round picks. As we know the first of those picks ended up being 32 and while we'll never know what the Lions would have done at pick 8 they could have chose Horn, Surtain, Parsons or Fields. Of traded back like the Giants did and move back a few spots and get a 2023#1. That trade has only looked worse and worse to me since they made it until the Rams crumbled. Still going to be hard to beat what they could have had but now they got a shot. Hope it works out for them as well as it did for Stafford.Love the enthusiasm and would feel similarLions have the Rams #1 pick this year so keep losing!!
Also should be noted that the Rams made BIG MOVES and won a Suer Bowl with the Lions' former starting QB
I'm not sure the Lions got one over on the Rams
They didn't, but a top 10 pick is better than #32.
Sorry to others looking for a Kupp update but then the only thing to really update is if McVay indicates they are leaving the door open for him to return later or are they going to just shut him down and even if they leave the door open he may not make it back. I'd still can't bring myself to cut him unless McVay say's his season is done.
On yahoo that is a setting that should be (and is in my leagues) turned offNFL.com still has him as "undroppable", with waivers running tonight.
Not cool...
Just did the same thing. Have someone near bottom who gave me Kelce. Keeper leagues are interesting - you just need someone who also sees their team as donezo and doesn't have their slots filled yet.Throwing out trade offers. My league isn't dynasty but it is Keeper. (Kupp can be kept for a 3rd right now). Asking all the low teams for a decent return but no buyers yet.
Had a guy who was about to be 1-9 until the Eagles managed to have Smith lose 10 yards and fumble on the final play. So that helped the guy win his game. Now he's 2-8and only 2 games out of 8th with 4 to go. So he thinks he still has a shot now. FantasyJust did the same thing. Have someone near bottom who gave me Kelce. Min 4, most likely the rest of the season if they are out of it.Is there any certainty to the minimum number of weeks kupp is going to be out, or is the minimum 4 weeks for IR with a chance for more all we have at the moment?
Definitely 4. Looking at their schedule, they could be 4-9 by the time they get to week 14. If you're the Rams, why risk Kupp fresh off of surgery when you're already out of it.Is there any certainty to the minimum number of weeks kupp is going to be out, or is the minimum 4 weeks for IR with a chance for more all we have at the moment?
Any other keeper/dynasty trades happening in leagues out there?
a top 5 qb, a #2wr and a top te who hasnt done much this year for a dude who had an operation to re-attatch his leg, a lesser qb, and a back up rb? Id be exstatic to land that trade. (assuming you have another good to great keeper of course)Got someone to trade with me in redraft. He's 4-6 and just outside the playoffs right now. I would have liked more in return but don't really have much choice. You can only keep one player so that's the value for Kupp right now.
Gave Kupp, Dak and Warren
Got Hurts, Pittman, Pitts

Weakest super bowl champ ever. I’ll die being mad the Bucs lost to those bozos.I was posting on these boards when that trade was made that the Lions took a worse deal to appease Stafford. Last year everything fell like dominoes in a line for Stafford and the Rams. Picked up Odell, SF dropped a sure INT that would have probably knocked the Rams out, GB lost so the Rams did not have to go there and playing in 5 degree weather. Bucs blew a late lead, and the Bengals made it to the Superbowl. I truly believe The Chiefs or the Bills would have beat the Rams..but hey you got to get there first. So the Rams did what then needed to do and they won.
Now with Stafford banged up and was having maybe his worst season ever, Kupp is toast. 3-4 players are eating up 60% of their cap and no high draft picks for a couple of years it is not looking good.
Olave for an 8th is nice value. Probably would prefer that over Kupp (and what I would assume is a 1st)A few options. Olave for an 8th. Hurts for a 5th. So that's it.
Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters he'd be "hard-pressed" to envision a scenario where Cooper Kupp (ankle/IR) plays again in 2022.
Out since Week 10 with a high-ankle sprain, there's simply nothing here for Kupp to come back to with the Rams in the cellar and Matthew Stafford done for the season. He's droppable in non-dynasty leagues. Kupp's value in 2023 will be tied to how Stafford is able to bounce back from a spinal bruise that sounds fairly scary, as well as how many Rams will be trying to run back 2021 again.

Cooper Kupp (ankle) returned to a full team practice on Tuesday.
It was his first of the offseason. His rehab from last year's high-ankle sprain is still "ongoing," but it seems like a fairly safe bet that Kupp will be ready to go in training camp. Kupp told reporters "I feel right now we've been pushing it pretty hard. I feel like I'm asking for more, wanting to do more and feeling like you're getting held back versus feeling like they're pushing you to do more. We're in a good place now where I feel like I want to get out there and play." Kupp said he'd leave the decision on when to get him going up to the team's medical staff. He's still going in the first round -- if not the first five picks -- in most drafts, with good reason.

Also the Rams may have the worst defense in NFL history this year (not hyperbole) so Stafford may be throwing to Kupp 200 times this season.I'll go back and forth on how high to have him in the top 5, but it's probably not nuts to take dude #1 overall given his pace the last 2 years.
If his body holds up. Also worth noting that prior to his godlike season, Kupp wasn’t exactly the picture of health.
Another concern I have is that OL looked horrific after Whitworth retired. Unless they shore that up & get Stafford time to throw, that offense might struggle.
not saying Kupp can’t return to form, but it seems like an awful lot is going to have to go right for that to happen.

There's enough there to give me a bit of pause. But most of the issues existed last season. Stafford's elbow was affecting his performance. The O-line issues were there last year, no?
Kupp was on a 17 game pace for 141 Receptions, 1533 yards, 11 TD's.
If Stafford is reportedly throwing with decent velocity in camp, I think he can at the least match last season's poor performance. And that was good enough for Kupp to play at an elite level.

I mean Kupp had 145/1900/16 the year before so I don’t think we should discount his pace. I think most can accept that was a career year. It’s possible he returns to WR1 - not discounting that. But IMO that was his career year.

Yeah that was a top 3 all time season. If anyone expects him to win the triple crown again, they should be taking him 1.01 and paying up to do it.I think most can accept that was a career year. It’s possible he returns to WR1 - not discounting that. But IMO that was his career year.
He was basically on the same pace last year so it’s not insane to expect 20 ppr ppg (which is about 80%)Some folks out there seem to believe he’s going to return to that.I think most can accept that was a career year. It’s possible he returns to WR1 - not discounting that. What would be considered good return at ADP? 80% of that? 75%? 65%
Genuinely curious what people hope to get as a return on Cooper Kupp’s current price tag in re-draft.

I was mostly joking - the “on pace” arguments are a bit of a fallacy is all.
Kupp is also 2 years older, coming off an injury & the Rams aren’t anywhere near as good as that team.
It’s possible he returns to WR1 - not discounting that. But IMO that was his career year. A lot went right for him & the entire team for that to manifest.
I am just not ready to anoint him WR1 for 2023 until I see it, and I’m admittedly a bit skeptical.
Not for *that* injury, no. But it’s also not nothing when a 30 year old with a history of soft tissue injuries has a major soft tissue injury. The injury was a high ankle sprain if I'm not mistaken. I wouldn't think we have to worry about long term effects.
