Turns out when you use your already injury-prone WR as a RB it takes the tread off his wheels a lot faster.Deebo is washed. No need to add more here, it's not even an argument anymore. Unless the argument is between Deebo and a place kicker. Even then he washed.
This is what I think, not sure on the 10-20%, just no idea, but I don't know anyone saying he looked done before the pneumonia.Or he is struggling to fully recover from pneumonia so is 10-20% short physically ? That’s enough to make all the difference. Came back crazy quick

Deebo has been hard to start recently but I do think we will see him get a few carries per game given the RB situation. So yes, I think an uptick is coming.Down to their third string RB for a while. Are we primed for an uptick from Deebo? Will they pass more? Will Deebo get some carries?

I don’t think so. Outside of that one huge catch he had against the Seahawks (IIRC?) this year he’s been totally invisible. The other explanation (at least I think it's plausible) Defenses are paying so much attention to Deebo and that's why Jennings is out there tearing it up
Which is true. Purdy doesn't really look his way but is that because he can't get open
Maybe him punching out his own teammate had something to do with things?Which is true. Purdy doesn't really look his way but is that because he can't get open![]()
He’s a land mine bro .. drop him now, other teams will REALLY want to pick him up and start him. He's a textbook roster clogger at this point. I want to drop him but would do so at my own peril.
Loose? I would think picking up Deebo and starting him would tighten me up with anxiety. He’s a land mine bro .. drop him now, other teams will REALLY want to pick him up and start him. He's a textbook roster clogger at this point. I want to drop him but would do so at my own peril.
Let him make your opponent loose
Depends on a lot of things, including the definition of productive. I could certainly see him still being a solid fantasy starter still, but his days of being a WR1 are probably done. I do feel like the pneumonia was a way bigger deal than he or the team let on. Playing through that is wild. It wouldn't have been crazy if he'd gone on IR.Is he done as a productive fantasy asset? Probably.
I wouldn’t give an early third round rookie pick for him. Maybe a late one and I would need a shower afterwards.Depends on a lot of things, including the definition of productive. I'd be pretty interested in bringing him in this offseason were I running an NFL team, if he wasn't all that expensive. I mean, I'm not expecting Higgins or Godwin to actually hit the FA market, so Deebo is probably near the top if he's available. I think he can still be a top-3 weapon in an offense.
Interesting he's the one that asked out.
I drafted him a few days ago in a FFPC league as WR39 as I'm siding with other things impacting his extreme drop off last year instead of taking one of the steepest cliff dives in history. But before I did I searched for latest news and saw photo of him from a few days ago at some SB function, wearing an AJB jersey, and looking pretty thick and big bellied. Was not encouraging and gave me second thoughts on taking him tbh.
I hope he knows he's doing wanting out of SF, I'm not fan of the wide back usage but he does need a lot of help getting schemed open against man coverage. But one thing for sure he needs to pull his stuff togehter. Going around looking like he did in that photo is no way to market yourself to the rest of the league. Hopefully getting on a new team will invigorate him and light a fire under him, seasons is a long way away but this is a guy who has to work really hard at staying in shape. He's the kind of guy that after he's out of the league a few years is going to look like a miniature OT.
One too many trips to Mickey D's.Interesting he's the one that asked out.

Thx, but it's a huge tease not posting a link to the pic!!!
I've lost 45lbs in the last year and a half. I kind of like the flatter stomach look wearing a shirt that fits the way its supposed to, instead of wearing a larger shirt to conceal my gut.In my life, I always just blame the cut of the shirt. Works for my own esteem, anyway.

No reason to cut him. If he wants out, and can't find a trade partner, his best deal is in SF. I don't see any reason why they'd WANT to get rid of him for nothing, given Aiyuk's knee injury and Pearsall not really doing much once he was back.I can’t see there being many interested teams. Have to think they just cut him.
honestly, the guy has only had one really good year(1400 yards receiving and 300 rushing) and one year that was ok. (I think he finished with around 900 yards but pro rated to account for missed games he played at a 1000 yard pace)No reason to cut him. I'd ultimately be a little surprised if he wasn't a 49er next season, unless they get like a 2nd round pick for him, which is unlikely.

Honestly, the way everything played out I think it was just a much more amicable version of "you can't fire me because I quit". I think he saw the writing on the wall, and SF realizes they could recoup more value now then in another year. I'd also imagine as they start forming their 2025 gameplan many on the staff are on the side of decreasing Deebo's usage in favor of Aiyuk/Kittle/Pearsall/stable of RBs till they get injured haha. He obviously is less concerned with playing for a contender (or why would he be agreeing to test the waters), so I'd guess he figures he could get more run on a team with less high caliber talent. Hopefully it's a mini revival to his career for the fantasy owners for another year or two. Getting his name out there pre-draft opens his options up a bit more then after the teams get their new shiny toys in late April/May.Interesting he's the one that asked out.

I truly don't think it was this at all. Lynch already said he wanted him back and the restructure of his contract last season was an extremely strong indicator they wanted him back.onestly, the way everything played out I think it was just a much more amicable version of "you can't fire me because I quit"
No I dont think they had plans to move on either. Not yet anyways.....I truly don't think it was this at all. Now he might have seen the writing on the wall that this season was his last and he was probably right on that. He might be hunting for a new contract with guarantees past this upcoming season. Those might be factors, but I don't think they had any plans of moving on from him this off-season.
Well yeah.but those plans may have changed when the player has now indicated he does not want to be there
I don't think they are afraid of him walking after this year. They expect it and have been preparing for it but I don't think it has anything to do with them allowing him to seek a trade. It likely is a big part of why Deebo is seeking one though.bottom line: I think he only has 1 year left on this contract. if they cannot trade him, he will play it out and will likely walk. so might as well try to get something from him
