WR Garrett Wilson, NYJ (1 Viewer)

TEN D is pretty good. Rodgers still looks pretty rusty. Buy Wilson low.

Yeah... some things get rusty when they get old.

I can't see Wilson being a dominant fantasy force on this team. They will be in a lot of tight ball games with minimal fireworks. No garbage time to pad the stats. No points for blocking.

I don't understand how Rodgers can go from GB throwing TDs all over the place but then completely lose his mojo w/the Jets. Maybe they just need a little more time.

I think he's going to be fine, people are acting like he was bad last year when he didn't even play. This year he has only had 2 games, one which was a very tough matchup at SF.

Disappointing start for tons of receivers. Who would you take for Wilson in a similar tier? Olave is worth so much less on trade charts but it’s possible Olave was the real play all along

It might just be a new normal that 1300 yards is the overall wr1 finish now this year

Go back and look at his final year in Green Bay... I kind of remember him being lower/mid pack (TDs were down, INTs were up).

Rodgers is old, coming off a very bad injury and missed all of 2023... on top of that there is no pre-season anymore.
Wilson is a buy low IMO, every game Rodgers plays he will get better and more into form; in turn the Offensive will score more. In addition the Defense isn't as good and is no hit with injuries... the Jets have to score if they want to win games.

Now! what happens after Rodgers is gone is the scary part to me

Agree that Garrett is a buy low - IMO he's going to put up strong numbers when the season is done.

I do think, however, that his ceiling may not be as high as we thought coming into the season. The offense is somewhat slow paced and largely predicated on Rodgers managing the game effectively, with a focus on the run game with Breece. And with the emergence of Allen, that gives another weapon in the run game. The defense has not been as stout as it should be, but should be good enough to avoid many shootouts in the future.

Need a big game tonight. Prime time. Let’s see if he delivers or if it’s the Braelon Allen show.
Are Thursday games really prime time? I mean they don't have competition for eye balls, but they are a short week, and generally suck in real, and fantasy football

Nicole Menner
Aaron Rodgers gave high praise to Christian Gonzalez earlier this week calling him “an elite player.”

Last year against the Jets Gonzo locked down Garrett Wilson - we’ll see if he can do that again tonight. #NEPats @NBC10

This is a common narrative that I don't think is supported by the numbers.

I think the problem people have with TNF is their brains are so addled by the constant light show that is RedZone channel and Sunday Ticket they forgot how to enjoy watching a single game from start to finish.

They can handle SNF only because by then they're in a football coma by that point. And MNF because they spend most of the game staring at their phones trying to figure out which players they are targeting on the waiver wire and how much to bid.

Thursday doesn't really bring any that. Any unrostered player who steps into prominence is locked until Tuesday anyway and there isn't anything we can do if we suffer an injury, slow start or hot start from our opponents.

That's my theory at any rate.

Agree with this theory.

And that's EXACTLY why I love Thursday night football.

One game.

Focused, but relaxed vs. tense jumping around all over the place.

Even if it's a crappy game I usually thoroughly enjoy it.

Interesting.....

I just know that typically, I'm disappointed by Thursday night games. In the past, the matchups were mostly poor, but it does seem as though they are bringing more intriguing matchups on Thursdays

At least the Jets offense is spreading the wealth around. Love to see all the other weapons getting points tonight.

Yes, yes… The ball being spread around to everyone because Wilson sucks definitely makes the people that took him at the 1-2 turn super happy.

GW is a 24 year old kid that has back to back 1000 yard seasons. This is year 3 with an accurate passer. Would not be shocked to see him end up with 1300 yards and 10 TDs.

No way, 1000 in 17 games isn't a big deal. He has 7 TDS total in his career. He won't sniff 1300 with Grandma Rodgers & playing next to his boyfriend Lazard.

Good luck. I am going to be happy with 1000/6. Which is an improvement.
He probably won't get that. Seems kind of high.

I think a lot of us like his talent and potential, but he is putting up similar numbers to previous years. We have excused it before as poor QB play. Its possible it still is, but at some point we have to realize he may not be as talented as we think. I am not ready to say that but I am surely considering it.
