WR - Joey Galloway - NE - OUT (1 Viewer)

Didn't see him on the injury reports, must be because he is not catching on quick enough. Wonder if Elderman gets in the game now even when Welker is playing.

Galloway inactive for today's game.
Clearly bumps up Welker. Galloway is reported healthy but inactive per NFLN. Aiken and Slater are the two possible replacements for Galloway, Edelman is the slot backup to Welker. Or look for two tight ends given the BAL defense...

I'm a little surprised that Joey Galloway isn't active today. He hasn't looked good all season and people around the club are saying that he isn't picking up the offense.

Could he be cut?

I would think he is tradable to a team like Oakland or STL that is having injury problems, but I guess I'm not really sure.

Per Reiss . . .

Receiver Joey Galloway is a healthy scratch, which reflects the struggles he's had getting on the same page with quarterback Tom Brady. That thrusts rookie Julian Edelman and veteran Sam Aiken into the No. 3 and 4 receiver spots.

David,Will Edelman be in the 3 WR sets with Moss and Welker or will Aiken?
I would guess Edleman would be in, but it sounds like they might go with 2 WR and 2 TE more this week. I suspect that NE will be running A LOT of short stuff to combat the Ravens defensive pressure. Also more blocking from the TEs in those sets.

almost sounds like they want to "ease" welker back into playing, keeping him in the slot.

just guessing here.
