WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, SEA (1 Viewer)

Feel like I've seen the MVS movie a few times before. Kinda goes like this:

1. He goes off while on the waiver wire.
2. You pick him up and he goes 1-6-0 while dropping three catchable balls..
3. You drop him and he goes off.

Quite possibly the ultimate whack a mole WR of all time.

Browns have I think the 7th rated DEF vs the run

Kamara is the run - and he's also a big part of the passing game ... you gotta figure Browns will shut the run game down and passing to RB's maybe too

leaving Carr to beat them ?

I dunno. .... its a theory

You can definitely argue the path to success, and having one good showing is encouraging, but I agree with kyoun1e here: we know who MVS is, and I would not put "reliable" in his list of descriptors. A decent boom/bust play if your only alternative is someone like Rashad Bateman or something, but I'm not letting him sink me this close to the playoffs.

So…. Can he keep this going ? Logic dictates he has to get balls thrown his way. Had time with the team on a bye, could his targets increase further ? I picked him up for free in a dynasty league two weeks back, and honestly thinking about taking the chance starting him over Deebo this week.

He also still sits on the WW in my re-draft league. Normally I try not to get caught up in apparent flash in the pan antics, but they genuinely don’t have any other WRs to throw to

A lot of this depends on your options.

MVS shouldn't be displacing any stud WRs (sez Captain Obvious). But if your squad is banged up and you've only got a couple of fantasy WR3 types to sift through, MVS has a chance each week to put up FF WR 1 stats. Not something you can pencil in ... but IMHO a much better start than, say, a real-life #3 WR from a good passing offense.

Worth anything without Carr? This week is against Washington, anything to see here?
CB Marshon Lattimore is making his debut for Washington against his former team. No Taysom Hill for the Saints, so it will be harder for them to force the defense into mismatches. I think QBs Haener and Rattler both have potential, but really wouldn’t want a fantasy asset depending on them.

Not really believing in MVS as much of a fantasy option right now. Been loving the real-life player, but the Saints aren’t going to be a fantasy-friendly offense anytime soon (except for Kamara).
