I was really high on this guy coming into the season but he has been less than impressive. We know the QB situation and the Lions are a mess but what do you think his future holds? I have soured on him some and wanted to see what others are thinking.

Mike Williams went into the worst situation for a rookie WR and had a bad year after being out of football for a year. Not so surprising, but I'm sure that he'll work hard during the offseason and come back much better next year.

BMW looked more like an undersized TE than a WR out there this year. Granted, Detroit's offense is a vortex where your problems get magnified and your talent overshadowed by the turdified play of the whole unit, but BMW looked like a guy who was terribly overhyped based on what I saw this year.

Thanks for the input so far. I really never saw him play this year so I have nothing to go by. He seems to have good perceived value so it is interesting to see if he seems to be a buy low-hold-sell high type of guy.

More than anything, word out of Detroit is that he needs a severe adjustment in his work ethic. The talent is undeniable, the heart and drive to succeed remains a serious question mark. But if anyone can turn that around, I like Marinelli to do it.

I also read an article where he admitted he was disappointed in himself and was going to rededicate himself. Sounded sincere about it but we'll see.

Also heard he was lazy, always late to meetings, and probably could care less if he played another down of football again - not gonna fly with Marinelli.

I like him at TE as a pass catcher. No idea if he can block.
How probable is it that BMW becomes a TE in the NFL? That could really increase his value for Fantasy Football. I believe a switch to TE has been brought up before.

he would need to bulk up and change his body type before that can happen unless they want to telgraph a passing play any time he's in.

Typically, first year WRs don't do very well. Toss in the fact that Detroit was a complete mess and you don't have a recipe for success for Williams. But I see a lot of success for Williams in his NFL career, and at WR not TE.

That was Charles...no, wait: maybe it was Roy...no, no: you're definitely right: it was Mike...I think...but it could have been Bly. Okay, I'm really confused. That sounds like the entire Lion roster.
