WR Ricky Pearsall, SF (2 Viewers)

4/108, 4/56, 8/117

-No Kittle, No Aiyuk, No Jennings, No Purdy last 2 weeks

I agree with @Hot Sauce Guy. Ride this train for another couple of weeks. But when Aiyuk, Jennings, Kittle get back...Pearsall will definitely be a boom or bust player. Throw in how much they want to throw to CMC and Pearsall will become an after thought. But in dynasty, he's definitely got a bright future. Kittle will be older, no telling if Aiyuk or Jennings will ever be healthy again. He could certainly be the WR1 in a year or two. Or they'll draft/sign an alpha.
I eluded to it but HSG says it with clarity
He's benefitting from being the only healthy starting WR
I think he will have strong numbers for a few more weeks, haven't seen anything that says Aiyuk is almost ready to start
I had heard Aiyuk might not be ready before November
Even with Kittle back at TE, Pearsall would still be the best option at WR

I think Jennings is gone after this season and then it will be Aiyuk-Pearsall-Rookie WR '26
I'm not even sure I love Pearsall in Dynasty, there's a ceiling and he's worth quite a bit right now as a 2nd year WR, i would certainly field offers.
He's gonna be a solid WR2 but I doubt we see him drafted in the 1st/2nd or even 3rd rounds of Redrafts most future seasons

Pearsall has put together 5+ games of elite production dating back to last year. He’s not boom or bust .. Just touchdowns are hit or miss but he’s consistently getting yards downfield. He’s their clear WR1 ..

Was a defender's finger tip away from having a TD week 1. He was a millimeter away from 5/130/1 that day.

But it's not like Kittle, Jennings and Aiyuk are the picture of health. The odds of one or more of them getting hurt again are high especially since they already are hurt.
Sure that’s true - but knowing Shanny, won’t they want to run the ball at a 50% clip or higher?

So now we have 50% of the offensive snaps divided amongst the listed receivers. I’m not saying Pearsall won’t get the lion’s share some weeks. But there will be weeks the 49ers won’t have to throw as much. Their defense, even after losing Bosa, appears to be better than it was last year.

Pearsall is a fine player. IMO he’s a sell-high in redraft. I’ll be happy to be wrong about that so long as the 49ers keep winning. ;)

That was also without Aiyuk, who’s coming back in a few weeks.

It was a fine game. He’s strung together a few fine games. Projecting that sort of stat line forward when everyone’s healthy is where I have questions.

I hear you. If all goes right, Pearsall is my WR4, so I'll be happy with the production when it comes.

I'm willing to bet on a Wally Pip situation here, and maybe pay accordingly to the prudent but cautious "this isn't going to last" mindset among managers.

After all, the injuries keep piling up for Kittle, Aiyuk, Jennings, and another key pass catcher out of the backfield who shall remain nameless.

I mean someone has to bring a damn firearm to get old Ricky off the field.

I read a funny suggestion/argument that if you get shot off the field, you should be allowed to do celebrations including mimicking guns on the field.

Touchdowns seem hit or miss for the vast majority of start-able players.

I’m a Bay Area guy, Niners fan, and own Pearsall in fantasy. Trust me, I’m rooting for him hard. But, Kittle is the best TE right now, CMC is arguably the best RB, Aiyuk is a top 15-20 WR when healthy, and Jennings is no slouch. Indeed, the Niners have perhaps the best set of skill players in the game. So we have to build the possibility of regression into Pearsall’s projections.

I think I’m with Hot Sauce Guy here. I see him as a high-end WR3 ROS, as there’s just too much variance for me to rank him higher. I need to get a better picture of when/ where Aiyuk, in particular, fits in.

Also worth considering when Purdy comes back, Kittle has pretty consistently been his 1st look/high volume guy.

The Niners will take their shots off of play action, but they’re more of a dink & dunk offense than a run & shoot.

Pearsall will have his spike weeks. He’s a great flex play. I don’t see him as a consistent WR1-2 for FF once Kittle & Jennings are back. Aiyuk just complicates the project-ability of this offense further with another high end mouth to feed.

I think the Niners will force feed Pearsall even when Aiyuk returns and give him every opportunity to be the #1 receiving option and if/when that happens they’ll shop Aiyuk in the offseason to shed salary.

Nick Wagoner:

Here's what Pearsall told me in the locker room: "I just have a little bit of knee soreness, but it's nothing that I'm actually worried about at all. So yeah, just more of a little precaution... I'll be practicing this week. I mean, that's my plan, my goal. If I had to go today, I would, you know what I mean? If there was a game today, then I'd play."

Ricky Pearsall and Demarcus Robinson leading receiver drills today at 49er practice.

If Jauan Jennings & Jordan Watkins are out Sunday vs the Jags, the 49ers WR room could look like:

WR1 Ricky Pearsall
WR2 Demarcus Robinson
WR3 Kendrick Bourne
WR4 Marquez Valdes-Scantling
WR5 PS call-up (Turner? Gage?)

I'm quite literally getting closer to making an NFL roster. There are only so many humans.

95.7 The Game
"Ricky Pearsall has really good short-area quickness and burst to separate at the top of his route stem. If you notice, he catches a lot of balls where it looks like the defender is really close. If you just create a yard of separation, you're open in the NFL.

He's able to burst out of his break at the top of his route and creates just enough separation that if the ball is properly placed, he catches the ball.

I expect him to get better and better...To me, he's just developing as a player."

If Jennings is out again then Pearsall is going to go off. Hopefully he finds the endzone this weekend.

Or perhaps the defense keys in on him with bracket coverage and he busts. These players don't operate in a vacuum and a lot has to work in order for most of them to thrive. Can Ricky chew up double teams? I dunno, but stop jinxing him! :)

Haha I hope he goes off, trust me.

8/11 and 117 yards makes me think he can operate just fine as San Fran's WR1. The Jags D doesn't concern me much.

(5 hrs ago) Pearsall (knee) is slated to play Sunday versus the Jaguars, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Pearsall followed up Wednesday's absence from practice due to a knee injury with back-to-back limited sessions to cap Week 4 prep, leaving him questionable for Sunday's contest. Fellow WR Jauan Jennings (ankle/shoulder) also was listed as questionable, and while both players are expected to be available this weekend, Jennings likely will have his snaps monitored. As a result, Pearsall should serve as one of Brock Purdy's (left shoulder/toe) top targets in the quarterback's first game action since Week 1.

He’s going !!

Just put this guy in over AJ Brown literally seconds before 1:00 games lock time. Just worry about Philly leaning on Saquon sometimes.

So was he unable to finish the game?
It looked like he was going to have another big game
He kept trying to come back, and kept coming back out.

When he first came up lame he was wincing like a SOB. He tried to reel in a pass on the sideline and I don't know what it is, but the pain was very obvious.

Jeez...are the niners the most snake bitten franchise ever?! Seems like every year they have tons of key injuries. Do they have ANY healthy WRs?!

Pearsall is playing at least as well as Aiyuk ever did, IMO. Aiyuk will be the #2 (if they're both healthy, yeah right).
