WR San. Moss Will Play

Jason La Canfora, Washington Post - [Full Article]

Washington Redskins WR Santana Moss is scheduled to play Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, making considerable progress on his hamstring injury. HC Joe Gibbs said all signs point towards Moss playing after missing two games, although the team will continue to monitor him closely on Sunday. Gibbs also said S Troy Vincent and WR David Patten will both miss the game due to hamstring problems.

From FBG Players in the News

*** Saturday Update *** WR Santana Moss (WAS) is still recovering from his injured quadriceps and continues to work with the scout team. He hopes to be available against the Cowboys next week. "I said to Sinorice, ‘Do you feel like you can really open up?'" HC Tom Coughlin said. "And I think next week we are going to try to see if we can do that."

Mixing metaphors or mixing Mosses.

Maybe Clayton Gray had too much turkey this weekend and the tryptophan shorted out his senses. What goes into injury updates anyway? Cut and paste based on a name search? If Darrel Jackson is hurt, should I expect a quote on Steven Jackson or Nate Jackson or the Jacksonville defense?

Must have been a typo on their screen earlier (he was listed as OUT)...now NFL Network says Moss has been upgraded to probable.

good lord, now NFL Network has Moss listed as OUT again, with david patten, et al. (it was in the "injuries" scroll at bottom during jim mora/alex flanagan discussion of jake plummer vs. cutler). they have to get their ##### together...

Sorry. Corrected - obviously with the quote, it should be Sinorice.J

The Redskins won't play Moss unless they're convinced he's out of danger of aggravating the injury and in a position to contribute on the field. It's not like they're desperate to win a game because they're in the playoff picture. :X

I'm very interested in seeing Campbell with Moss in the lineup. Campbell excels at throwing those deep passes that Moss is so exceptional at grabbing. Lloyd dropped just such a pass to open the last game, which would have turned Campbell's game stats from merely good to excellent.

Looks like Santana will start. Do folks expect much from him today or will he limited by the injury? I get to flip a coin between him and Mason, neither arouse me...
