WR-Steve Johnson-BUF (1 Viewer)

Everyone's always thanking God for everything. It's about time He starts taking his share of the blame when he screws things up!

My thoughts exactly! In addition to Steve Johnson, he obviously hates the Carolina Panthers also.

so God caused him to miss the pass ? LOL, ok. Do people really think God controlls their every move ? This is the opposite of free will.

They played his presser on ESPN Football Today. Dude definitely owned up to it after the game, worth finding and giving it a listen. Twitter post is a bit strange, hope he's all right, he seemed pretty shook up.

poor guy. this was his ticket outta Buffalo playing like a freak, then he goes and does this!

"why God, why!? WHy am I gonna be stuck in Buffalo!?!?!"

Im a bills fan, but c'mon... if you live near the city, you'd understand

I think it's funny in that I get to see some of the religious folks out there get all up in arms about it. As stated before...if you're going to give credit to God for your successes then you can certainly blame him for your failures.

In the grand scheme of things: Nothing to see here

It was a dumb tweet, but I honestly feel really bad for the guy. It's refreshing to see a player who is that upset over making a mistake, rather than just brushing it off.

Personally I think God did him a favor. He is fantasy gold for the playoffs. I doubt he drrops the next one.
Agreed. He has otherwise been lights out the last few weeks, but probably needed a dose of reality.Look for Fitzpatrick to go right back to Stevie early and often next week to restore his confidence.

Lee Evans or Andre Reed or maybe even James Lofton needs to get in touch with this guy and help him get past this. He is really shaken and even though that tweet is comical I do feel bad for him.

You're correct. God could care less about the outcome of a football game.

I agree. You know he will remember this, versus blaming his QB for the arch of the ball or the turf that didn't quite settle. I really like where this team is going from an NFL fan perspective (don't as a Jets fan, because the last thing we need is for the Bills to be decent). This kid could be the next great Bills WR and he seems humble enough to embrace the role and do good things with it in the future. I am an agnostic and still think it was a silly post...embrace what you love and honestly you have and will learn a TON from this moment...just not today.

Already happened. I read that Andre Reed was in the Bills locker room after the game doing just that. Look for Stevie to shake it off in a day or two and be better for it.

I benched him for Bradshaw as a flex.....that play made me feel better about the extra 4 points I got from Bradshaw. SJohnson blows up whenever I bench him and lays an egg when I play him....for once I got it right.

And God is probably answering back "I practically dropped it in your lap. You're not a 7th rounder for nothing."
A religious man is living in New Orleans when Katrina hit. The water was waist high in his house when a rescue boat appeared. The man turned it away saying, "God will provide!" The water was neck high, and another rescue boat appeared. The man again turned it away, saying, "God will provide!"The water was 10 feet high, and the man was sitting on his roof, when a helicopter appeared, in a final effort to get him to abandon his house. The man sent it away: "God will provide!"The water continued to rise, and the man drowned. In the afterlife, he appeared before God. "Lord, why did thou forsake me?"And the Lord said, "Listen numbnuts, I sent two boats and a helicopter...."

The guy has a pretty well developed sense of humor from what I've seen of him on YouTube and in interviews. He may have done that to make light of the situation. On the other hand, if he was serious...

:goodposting: How about everything he's done up until that pass.....this guy has come out of nowhere and has made it big in the NFL. Maybe that was what the "thanx tho" was covering.I thought this guy may have serious issues but then I saw his hometown is San Fran, CA........Smug Alert! ;)

What if it's the Saints?

The media loves the Saints, God is a Packer fan and shareholder.
