Post any Houshmandzadeh (heel) news here. Please use this as an injury update thread, not a who do I start, or who I am starting thread. Thanks.

RW

This is virtually the same thing that happened last week, so it's very possible he sits again vs. the Browns?

WR Houshmandzadeh Sits Friday, Now Questionable

Geoff Hobson, Bengals.com - [Full Article]

The Cincinnati Bengals are going to be without WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh for the second straight week. Houshmandzadeh (heel) was downgraded and did not practice this week. WR Chris Henry probably gets the start again with WR Kelley Washington manning the slot.

Coach said if he does not practice this week he does not play. He did not practice at all this week. I would say he's out. I have him and he will sit bench for me.

Housh is starting to remind me of a guy that plays RB in Jax. He hasn't been labeled yet, but he is on his way.

(Edited to add Fragile Freddy of old, not the recently healthy Freddy)

Does this mean a #2WRBC or is Henry the clear #2 today vs the Browns. The entire passing O struggled last weekend. Palmer still rusty?

I am contemplating starting Henry this week but he only had 1 catch for -5 yards last week in the same situation. My thinking is that the Bengals got such a big league that they just ran the ball to get the game over with. The real question is can the Browns produce enough offense/points to force the Bengals to pass the ball.Henry also caught a 15 yard pass last week that was called back on a holding penalty.Touch decision here.... :wall:

That's the question with Hoosh out. Will they milk it on the ground vs the Browns OR try to get Palmer and Co. back on track through the air. Rudi has always dominated the Browns btw.

Is anyone else getting concerned about this injury? I don't know much about heal injuries, but TJ hasn't practiced once since the injury two (three?) weeks ago. Any thoughts on when he might play again? And beyond that, is this going to linger all season and hamper him even when he comes back?
