WR Tyreek Hill, MIA (5 Viewers)

Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN.

It's the new market, I guess.

Hey everybody, guess what? As if it couldn't get any more stark, the draft and picks just got even more valuable if you're building a team. These salaries to guys given second contracts is borderline surreal with the money thrown around.

As a Gesicki owner I’m not sure how to feel about this.
I would not like it myself but this seems to me the biggest non-QB fantasy fallout trade I can recall. A lot to digest and it's not easy because Tyreek is going to take targets but he opens up things for people. And reverse in KC where targets galore just opened up but things may not be so open.

Alright, let's head over to the Tua thread, to make fun of his arm.
Even better with check down Teddy as the backup. I'm not sour grapesing this, this was the first thing I thought of. Tyreek slowing down even with the wind to catch a ball thrown strenuously forty-five yards in the air.

I have Juju, MVS, and Gesicki in another league. So a mixed bag there at least until the NFL draft. Have to figure Gesicki walks next year now with big money to Tyreek and Waddle in the fold? They cut Parker next year (only a modest savings to cut him this year)?

Tyreek is obviously a massive improvement over Fuller who they got like one game out of. Just wish Miami had an O’line to give Tua enough time to throw the ball.

Not a bad deal for Miami.

They’ve significantly upgraded their line. In the last 48 hours they brought in one of the better LT in the league.

Zach does have the stronger arm. If this wasn’t the last contract Hill signed, that might have mattered.

Even though he’s in their division the Bills must be thrilled. The chiefs don’t win that playoff game or even get it to overtime if it was just JuJu running the Tyreek route tree. Man what an L for the Chiefs.

Maybe they would have if not offered five picks instead
The picks aren't high picks, though. That's the head-scratcher. There's a 29 and a 50. Those are the highest. That's...not impressive. What two more fourths and a six?

Who cares about those? You know how many fourth rounders pan out?

Thanks! I missed the Terron Armstead news. Great LT when healthy but he misses on average 4~5 games a year. But adding him to Connor Williams they already signed should be a big improvement.

I think the Phins got him at a bargain (ignoring the contract of course).

Raise your hand if you had the two best WRs in the league both leaving their teams in the same offseason.

NFL is officially nuts, and I am here for every second of it.

Bills fans gotta feel good now, Chiefs take a big hit, but their own division just got that much harder.  Still should be the favorites in the AFCE though.

Agree totally.

i just texted the Mahomes owner in my league that “Mahomes WR1 is now Juju Smith-Schuster. And good luck with that.”
Who knows how it will end up in KC. Tankathon has KC drafting Jameson Williams and OT Kenard with Miami's 1.29 and 2.50. And Nakobe Dean and Breece Hall with their first 2 picks. That'd be a net gain for KC if it happened.

Bills, Chargers, Denver and Oakland all win big here. I know it’s only one player but the Chiefs offense is built around Hill. That’s a huge blow to them. MVS? LOL.

Not just the Bills but Denver has got to be feeling much better about trading for Wilson. Instead of challenging for wildcard,  the rest of the AFC West are even more of a legit threat for their division title with KC losing Tyreek.
