GM Phil Savage says Jason Wright is the Browns' backup running back.

Savage told the Associated Press that Wright's consistency in the preseason earned him the job over fifth-round rookie Jerome Harrison, who averaged 6.2 yards-per-exhibition-carry. Wright isn't worth owning in fantasy leagues, but both backups are worth monitoring.

I still think rotoworld and several people on this board are misquoting Phil Savage on this one. I think the discussion only involved Wright, Suggs and Green..NOT Harrison.

From TODAYS Cleveland Plain Dealer:

Backups: Jerome Harrison (rookie) and Jason Wright.

Analysis: When he is fresh, Droughns feeds energy to the offense. Keeping him from burning out was one reason for drafting Harrison. Another was to give Frye another pass option. The rookie is quick, has good vision, runs low to the ground and knows what to do when he's thrown the ball. Third-down back is a misnomer for his role because he'll be the back on any down the offense spreads the field with extra receivers as long as he proves capable of blocking. Wright won a roster spot almost by default. The Browns simply tired of Lee Suggs' injuries and William Green's 2-yard runs.
