Assuming he is healthy (Rotowire is reporting a sprained ankle from the game against Pittsburgh), I think Scheffler has a chance to be a better option than Lee at TE. When Jay Cutler took over the starting QB job last year in Week 13, he threw nine TDs, and Scheffler caught four of them. Scheffler's numbers from those five games in 2006:1/153/66, 2 TDs3/582/26, TD3/54, TDScheffler's numbers from the game against Pittsburgh last week:5/50, TDCutler likes to throw to him, Javon Walker is out for a while, and it seems like Denver throws to the TE a lot at the goal line. While Lee is certainly a viable option, and could end up with more receptions and yards, I think Scheffler (again, assuming he's healthy) has a better chance at a TD each week than Lee, and with reception and yardage numbers not too far behind Lee's.
Franks is hurt and out for this game.I want to say that Lee has the edge for this week with Champ and Dre Bly covering up Driver and Jennings. You know Favre will drop by 40 times....someone has to catch the ball!
As a Favre owner, I'm hoping those passes don't end up beign thrown to Broncos.
I still like a healthy Scheffler better than Lee (or Franks for that matter). He seems to be a focal point of that passing game, especially with Walker out.
