Yahoo Autodraft Cheatsheet (1 Viewer)

Bristol

Footballguy
I looked in the Cheatsheet section and they have one for live draft.

The one that I am looking for is the one that groups the players into tiers that forces the computer to give you what you want instead of what it thinks you should get. I have used this in the past and want to use it again in a free work league that I am in.

TIA

Bump, looking for this too.

how does this work? we know the system which yahoo picks? what position does Yahoo think I want to pick next?

i hate yahoo auto drafts, I divide the pool into two groups, I take out EVERYONE i don't want.. and move everyone else in order of my importance into the right column...leaving the predetermiend area empty

In light of the info about all the starters going first, I'm making some modifications to my VBD baselines.

Basically for the first 8 rds I know exactly how many of each position will go and I have great ADP data so I can predict nearly the exact drop-off at each position.

SO, I set up the baselines on this for folks I expect to go in the 1st 8 rds. Be very careful that you're not putting anyone in at this point that may not go in the first 8 rds. The reason is that you want to adjust your baselines to who will be available on the wire for ranking post round 8.

For instance, in my 10-team league Watson is right on the verge. He won't go if no one bumps him, but it seems like at least 1 person will bump him into the top 9 of TEs. However, if they don't, and Watson is on my list based on his "first 8 rounds VBD" then he will be my first back-up taken.

Now it may turn out that he's a good choice as my first back-up depending on who I determine will be left and the new VBD, but again you need to be very careful with this.

Also, I "drafted" every player in DD as I ranked them or excluded them in my first 8 rounds set-up. This way once I start hitting my cut-off guys (the ones that are likely to go undrafted through 8) and switch the VBD baseline I'll have a list of who's remaining in the order I want them as back-ups.

update:

The problem with this that makes me uncomfortable is that you're going to sacrifice depth at RB.

Taylor and Gore in the 7th/8th is a great way to go if you can do it obviously, but then you're looking at Lundy/DeAngelo/Barlow as your back-ups. Not terrible, but not great especially given that your top 2 are iffy.

And considering that if you're doing this right you're likely to kill in the draft, I think you've got to play it safe and take an RB in the first. Now the issue is to get it set up so that you get 1 and only 1 RB at the top of the draft.
