Yahoo default rankings (1 Viewer)

I've started doing some mock drafts on Yahoo just to get used to using their draft application. I realized their rankings are not really well adjusted to custom scoring and they are not up to date in terms of ADP and the changes happening in camp/pre-season, etc. For example, Ray Rice is still WAY down the rankings (120's?).

Does anyone know if this will ever be updated in the pre-season? I have some money leagues with co-workers/friends that will be using the Yahoo online drafting application. If those current rankings hold for a few weeks, I see a big advantage for myself of being able to draft according to true/present value of players compared to the outdated rankings of yahoo's application.

Is anyone else in this same boat? Am I missing something with the yahoo default rankings?

From what I recall, they do not change. From whenever they're entered, they're pretty much set.

Just a rule of thumb with Yahoo: never expect quality Yahoo rankings. However, for each Yahoo league it does allow you to make your own rankings.

Unless they've changed, Yahoo sorts players based on last season's stats, so guys who got hurt might be way down on the list while other guys will be grossly overvalued based on what they did last year. I think they might bump a few big names (like Brady) so they're represented better, but for most of the rank-and-file I think they just rely on last year's stats.
