Yahoo draft autopick (Strategies) (1 Viewer)

I was wondering. I am in a 12 man league auto-draft in about 2 weeks. Is there a way to prearange (preranking) them so the pic goes to my favor? There use to be a colum to show how to do it. Below is who we can start in our scorring system:

We start 1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 TE, 1 wr/TE, 1 kicker, and 1 def

Passing Yards 25 yards per point

Passing Touchdowns 6 4

Interceptions -1

Sacks -1 0

Rushing Yards 10 yards per point

Rushing Touchdowns 6

Reception Yards 10 yards per point

Reception Touchdowns 6

We also get additional (5 catches by a WR = 1 point)

I heard these different ways. Pre-rank your top 50 VDB off your cheat cheet then below that you top 40 rb, top 50 wr, 20 TE, ext.....

Here something else i found online, its old but he suggest you put your top 3 wr, and top 3 TE

Here is the article below, what do you guys think ?

The top 3 WRs are tremendously better than any of the others...no doubt. However, is there really any difference between 4-20? Doubtful. How about Running Back? Sure getting 1 of the top 15 is important, but if there a really difference between the 16th and 24th? No. Use this to your advantage! Now, there is a HUGE advantage to picking up one of the 3 top TE's. Because of this, you NEED to move them to the top of your list. Same is true of the WR's. Luckily you could get a top TE and WR with your first 2 picks and still end up with 2 stud RB's. So, move Harrison, Owens, Moss, Heap, Shockey, and Gonzalez to the very top of your list. Only on Yahoo could one possibly get away with this kind of ranking. But it WILL work. Remember, there isn't that much of a difference between the #4 and #24 WR. There really isn't.

Just kinda skimmed your post a little, and noticed a lot of that has to do with some tier strategy.

The main thing to keep in mind is that yahoo will fill out your starting lineup before anything else. And, I am pretty sure, gives you an even number of backups.

Like 2 Defenses, 2 TEs...

So it won't draft you starting lineup and then 10 RBs on your bench even if they are ranked higher than other backups in your queue.

Knowing this, bumpup the TEs ST/D and Ks you are targeting

Good luck.

one thing you can do is liberally use the exclude function to remove all players you wouldn't want from your list.

do you know where you're picking?

I found this online (2008) what do you guys think: Follow these instructions: 1. Put all defenses and kickers on your Do Not Draft list. 2. Take out all TE's that you don't think are studs and put them on the Do Not Draft list. Yahoo will automatically fill out roster positions to accomodate a full lineup before drafting backups. If you take out the defenses, TE's and K's, you'll have 5 or 6 picks out of QB's, RB's, and WR's while someone else is getting backup defenses and kickers and te's. Every year I do one Yahoo Public just to humiliate some people. My squad this year: SuperMarioTogaParty QB McNabb/Bulger (the injury possibilities here are massive, but wth) RB Steven Jackson/Willis McGahee/Mike Turner/Matt Forte/Fred Taylor WR Braylon Edwards/Plaxico Burress/Anquan Boldin/Laveranues Coles/Jerricho Cotchery TE Chris Cooley I dropped Selvin Young (bronco RB's hack me off...at least their coach does...rather than guess at a starter, I cut bait) and Julius Jones (he's soft, he's in Seattle...I have no faith in him) for the Houston Texans defense and Kris Brown as a Kicker. It stinks to have to drop any RB's for either position, but to dominate, I'll need a full roster so it had to be done
